I am looking to change positions in my job. I have always been into health. My problem is I am so sensitive to the environment - meaning smoke, air conditioning, air fresheners which are all very harmful but society is not aware or more accurately doesn't want to know the truth. This also makes it difficult for me to work in an environment with these substances. My sensitivity, feelings and body are like a computer very accurate and it is difficult for anything to pass me without me realizing it. I would be a great asset in the field of health. I am talking about real health and healing. I don't mean nursing or a doctor... Is there anything different I can get into now without years of studying. I can't work in a health food store because they usually have at least 2-3 refrigerators and they harm me. Basically what the ozone or mother earth feels I feel too.Any ideas

Hi Randall, The atmosphere in a hospital is not really what I am looking for. I would like doing research that might be right for me but I have no idea how to go about it or I've never seen any positions on that - I'm clueless! IP: Logged |

I think that for research advanced degrees might be needed... IP: Logged |

What do you mean, fairy22? I noticed you used the words, "suppose to go".... Was this your parent or guidance counselor's idea? What would you want to do, if you 'dreamed up' a job position for yourself? What do you "see" when there is no pressure nor possible failures? If I were the magic job-fairy, and I was ready to say the words "You're Hired!!", what JOB would I be hiring you to do? I like your clever getting out-of-the-box approach in the idea to turn your heightened-senses into a plus!! Your readiness to use it as a 'natural tool-ready talent' to be used out in that environmental world.... is cool! edit add 408pmEDT 6/2 IP: Logged |

Randall - If you seek you shall find I wish - it's not that simple and there are so many circumstances that can go against that

Welll Mirage29I said suppose to because that is who I am, my character - my makeup. Anything related to health is who I am - what I think about all day. Food for a healthy body, anything related to the environment that affects the health, how the system works and affects our health. It's very hard for me finding a job I don't really fit into any category as I am sure many people feel the same way. For health the closest thing would be a naturopath. I could also be a health inspector - for grocery stores and restaurants. And I believe I would not be right for the standard (meaning regular) inspectors; they work completely different from me. And their standards are more for company guidelines than the actual care of the people. Which is easy to see when you look at the conditions of many establishments. I could recognize the quality of for example milk right away better than any instruments... When I have gone to the hospitals in the past at the emergency rooms- once I had to leave after an hour in the waiting room, because the air vents were so dirty I became very ill. If I go to a clinic the ones I have gone to I would practically pass out in 15 minutes from the air conditioning. When I would mention this to the doctor they ignored me I had to say it 3 times just to get a response and they still ignored it - these people are there for the health of the patients but are they really? The general nurses and doctors attitudes towards the patients…I could go on about the problems of the health care industry as I am sure many people have stories to tell. So working in a hospital is not likely to work for me. IP: Logged |

If you were the magic job-fairy, and I could DREAM - I'm dreaming remember: Right now the only thing I want is to have some work over the computer maybe 5 hours a week max that pays at least $4000 a month something very easy for me, doesn't monopolize my time - so I can really focus on taking care of myself - health And just see where that would lead me... in what fun and exciting path to enjoy my true self I need to be rich any cute rich guys out there oops off topic.

My other dream jobs:* I would like to be a show girl in Las Vegas - to late I like music and dancing... *Anything related with beauty - I am good with makeup, I can apply makeup very well; but I don't have a certificate and I don't wear makeup every day my skin is too delicate - and if I worked in a pharmacy for example they would expect me to. *A job like in the stock market or a similar field I would be successful; I have the qualities it takes, I definitely would make large sums of many - again the degrees *I have always been interested in astrology since a very young age when I was young I stopped studying because a thought came to me that if you do this you will find the answers to life – and I stopped right there; I wanted life to be a surprise My path should have been new age – channelling, healing, astrology, numerology, health and healing. I am also very psychic but I would say more of a sensitive. *Inventing - I have ideas that I know would make lots of money – I have no clue how to go about this. *Writing a book; but you need time for that /and I really don’t want to give away my precious information I earned So just something simple right now - working at home on the computer no interacting with people an income I can live well on; no financial worries so I can take care of myself. i replied to this topic in Hearth and Home so I’m copying it here and closing the thread there -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hey Fairy, it sounds like you may enjoy a job in Health Promotion. You should try working at local NGOs, take part in health campaigns that target health issues like smoking, unhealthy lifestyles etc.. Maybe even health education campaigns that raise awareness of certain health hazards people are not aware off etc.. However, i am a big advocate of continuous education so if you really are passionate about health you should definitely peruse a degree in Public Health. I'm currently a graduate student in that field.

Hi RandallWishcraft I do alot of that lately with all the power I have! But honestly I must be doing soemthing wrong because the only things that come true are the little things I am capable of making come true myself. Example things I love that I can buy. But other magical things don't really work - it seems we have to be realistic. If you want that dream car/house the only way to get it is to pay for it- it's high price. I tried believing in having circumstances work to bring it to me, the right contacts and so on but that doesn't happen. The universe won't work that hard for me! I really need some magic in my life now! IP: Logged |

Hi fairy22 ... so sorry I've been away from the threads-- (things got really busy for me suddenly!)I really enjoy reading your thread here. Love its development. So interesting... Good work! Good digging-in!! Keep those ideas coming up and out! You're so creative! Go ahead........... I dare you to shine!! Venus-- What an excellent suggestion!! Yes, it IS a synthesizing of what fairy22 has been saying... I heard an inspirational speaker once say things like this: the secret of your purpose/ your vocation/ or calling in life is 'hidden' in your daily routines, in the kinds of things that bother you. That we are called to solve those very problems that irritate us the most in life.
What he said in (Oct 1989) has revolved in my mind for all these past years... It was a riddle. Some people seem to know what they want to do from a young age. There are others who quest their whole lifetime, growing old without really having grasped what their vocation or calling is in life... I think astrology can help us develop a clearer view about these things. I got into astrology 'later' in life. (I'm perhaps an advanced beginner to intermediate? Learning on my own...slowly, but surely). As I looked at free vocational samplers online, I was astonished with just that little-bit it said. Thinking back I realize how I've had life-experiences in each of the areas mentioned. Wow!! Also described lessons around my experiences with co-workers. How impressive! Can 'see' it now, but was absolutely blind to it back then without counsel or insight to the situations... BTW, that 'motivational speaker' was a minister. I can see 'the astrology' behind the things he said. Another sermon-giver described Moses at the 'parting of the waters' at the Red Sea. The Lord called out to Moses and ASKED him...What's in your Hand?! Moses pointed in the right direction and his miracle occurred! 'What' is in your Hand? What are you "doing" with your time, how are you using your resources and abilities "right now"? (The secret is "hidden" in your DAILY habits?) What direction do you feel clearing inside? Sometimes 'as you take the step' INTO that direction then clearer instructions come. At times you're only given ONE step at a time. Have courage! Sometimes multi-talented people (as yourself) have a harder time committing to a course of action. Some worry about limiting their options too much... they can see soooo many pieces of the vista! The 'pieces' belong to a mystery.... You are asked by Society to choose something. I understand how the Dream can feel like it's crystallizing, and that at any minute you're going to 'get' what that 'thing' is!! arrgh, & ugh... I also (personally) buck that 'uncertainty-factor'... And sometimes it just doesn't seem that those pieces in your Hand spell the right words in the correct sentence. I think perhaps for some, it 'doesn't' -- and it will not, because it isn't supposed to... at least just yet. Your Future can be Promised, Delayed,... but that delay is not always Denial... It will look 'different' when it "actually" arrives. It's an added burden to think that you look like you can't choose. Some people can think you're lazy, but for some this is far from the truth! Hard to understand... but apply your faith in a Future. Your Goddess ERIS says to you, "Choose!" Here are extracts from written notes I took from a book (in Feb 2011). Robert Bly (1990) Iron John, chapter 6, p. 176, 177).... quote: "You choose life's desire, then Inner Warrior agrees to the unpleasant Labors that follow. The Warrior gives a man or woman permission to live in suffering." ... "'Suffering' here means the difficult tasks accepted for the sake of your desire, but ALSO, the painful awareness of other roads not taken...." ...choose 'the one precious thing,' and...pay for it through poverty, conflict, deprivation, labor, and the endurance of anger from rejected divinities. It is the [inner]warrior that enables the human being to decide to become a musician ONLY, or a poet only, or a doctor only, or a hermit only, or a painter only. ... It is the Lover (in a woman or man) who loves 'the one precious thing,' and tells [oneself] what it is; but it is the warrior... [inside] [the talent-genius] who agrees to endure the suffering [that] THE CHOICE entails.
I'm realizing that as we 'grow' and experience life's episodes, we're integrating and refining what "it" is... (I'm a late-bloomer... some of us were made to bloom later; but takes much hard work, disappointments, pain.) The reality-episodes that Life brings are designed to exercise and hone your gifts, to teach you what's inside. It is our preparation work. Earth school, aka school of hard knocks! (yeah, really rough when you're a hands-on type of learner! ow! ) Choose.... the best you can. Keep journaling your discoveries. Remember Helen Keller realizing w-a-t-e-r? Keep asking. Seems like you're making great in-roads digging in to find that which you really-really want! If you really-really want it? Then commit, and pursue while you're still young.... !
Those are my musings to you.... Dream baby!! Dream!!!! (music) Dream On (Aerosmith) [5:01] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qzTZ76vhnKk I Believe in fairy22 Power!! IP: Logged |

Hi fairy22 --- So glad to see your note. I've been way way busy, too! No rush... See you later! Hi Randall --- Robert Bly's book, Iron John is about Psychology/Men's Studies. Lots of mythology in it. Bought it used Jan 2011... love it. All the personal-library books I've kept (after the big big purge a couple years ago) were wrapped and put into 10-gallon storage bins, along with personal journals from 1975 to 2010. I keep getting caught in these weird semi-emergencies where it looks like I suddenly have to move out. Been living like this for a REALLY long while now.... I miss my books, and having them in convenient reach. Thanks for bringing up Iron John....
