well.. depends on what you mean by structure and the types of deals.The folks that structure big investments or buyouts/M&A are frequently the privarte equity/VC people. Those make the IBers look like chump change. Remember that IB is ballyhooed but they are just employees, like me. Their fat checks are really not that fat. You want fat checks? You need to be on the private equity/VC side. Think about it. Lloyd Blankfein is CEO of Goldman and he earns $30MM a year. John Paulson and Steve Cohen etc. earn $2 billion to $3 billion a year.
