I have two beautiful children, my daughter is 7 and she is a Leo sun and my son is 5 and he is a cancer sun. I am wondering what aspects would we look at in order to find out what they need from me as a mom.

ProudLeo.... I've seen that you ALREADY reached out to some astrologers through other requests you've made for help in the other astrology forums here at LL. My guess is that your problems were NOT resolved and the astrologer(s) were unable to provide you with what you are 'specifically' looking for.... in terms of help, astrologically.
Sometimes astrology provides answers, and other times you've got to utilize help from the Local community where you live.
So, I'm going to take this from another perspective.... You are "asking" for help with your relationship to your young children. Help IS available! And I admire your insight and the courage it takes to seek and ask for the help you and your children need right now.... Act on it!
Look for a child-parent support group in your area... Get help. Some counseling. Some churches have support groups for parents who are overwhelmed or think they could cause emotional harm to their child....
Use your neighborhood resources.... Your kids are at very important times in their foundational lives right now.
I'm proud of you "recognizing" and being selfless enough to GIVE them the supportive parent EVERY child deserves...
And YOU "as a person with needs" deserve not to feel alone in your frustrations.... That's what support groups can provide.... a lot of personal love and care, "hands on".... Friends you meet this way can be a source of mutual help and nurturance for years!
