Hey!

Does my chart point more towards being a...

Dance Movement Therapist, working in hospital outpatient centers?

Audio engineer, working for events at a hotel in the mountains?

Non-profit administrator?

Something else?

Trying to decide between a few job options...
,,, so I can stick with one location, and hopefully get a relationship!! *Facepalm*

Are these vocations that you have only 'read' about?

Have you ever gone to the places (with your body) to explore the 'vibe'? Talk with people who DO that work, and can fill you in on real-life requirements?

Also, how 'long term' could your job go?
The mountain job might only be seasonal?, meaning that you would have the worry of making enough money to make your ends meet.

Is the non profit Admin job well-funded by the Government, or consistently-funded by reliable outside sources?
Has the non-Profit been in business for a LONG time, or short?
Would your working there bring an 'upgrade' your skills-- so that IF they fold, you could more-easily find another job that is equal or Higher paying?
I know the current new Biden Admin in USA, values helping to fund non-profits through govGrants.
But if the non-profit is 'newer' -- and, were a less-compassionate political party to take over running the govt, would they CUT funds to your nonprofit, .. which could CUT your personal job prospects in the non-profits?
MANY of these have had their fundings {and functioning} stripped over these past years. I had volunteered for one, and they had to cut 'paid-positions', and did only a TINY bit of what they once were capable of doing to Serve lower-income people.
.. With NON profits, you might really want to investigate which political party stays dominant in the State. Some are incredibly AUSTERE draconic, so your position is not as 'stable' working under uncompassionate political atmospheres-- They strive at MORE and more cuts, doing less and less and less, while the population's needs are INCREASING. So sad. So much needless poverty and suffering-- in higher-wealth States.}
. .
Those positions are kind of notorious for being LOWER paying than other regular business management or support-positions. Sometimes there's a promise that IF you work (the low wages) for 10 years, then there's some kind of reward that will make it worth your staying with them.
-- Really, for THOSE positions, you "need" to feel Called to it, so that lower-pay won't be an issue for you. Need to feel that working with them gives you another kind of soul-fulfillment and benefit {like, they have a great harmonious cohesive long-running work-team (feels like a family) -- You don't go home too stressed-out from toxic relations on the job-- now THAT could be worth it to go home ready for night with your family, etc).
--
Better-news is that I'd heard that the Biden-admin wants to bring Value back TO working govt jobs that Serve the Public. Govt jobs once were the best kinds of jobs you could get. Maybe it will be revived.

Music Therapy and Movement.
Music Therapy itself, {thanks to MH pioneer Dorothea Dix}, has helped ANCHOR the Values of using Occupational-type Therapies within hospital or clinic programs, hospice, and other types of incarcerations.
Job openings for Music Therapists could be found pretty much all over the country, and even abroad. This skill would allow you to find positions in that field should you Relocate.
. .
Dance/Movement
is not considered as crucially important (?) as part of therapy--
Would be considered a subspecialty-
Less available employment?
Limited hospitals, {nursing homes}, fewer clinic programs would offer that mode of healing to clients. Position could be more-easily subject to budget-cuts.
(That's why Music Therapy might be more available broadly. Clients physically unable to Move/Dance can all benefit from Music Therapy sessions. -- Broadens the number of employment positions available.)
. .
If you're an entrepreneurial, you could do side-hacks setting up classes and advertising at metaphysical type shops.
. .
Could offer those services on your own--
(Similar to a Granny Nanny type of visiting Music Therapist. Working with single clients in their home. Could try to hook up with the Visiting Nurses, Granny Nanny-type organizations to see if the clients they serve will advertise/refer you.)
Oh,, adding this: There are Physiotherapists that have their own business {separate from hospital affiliations}. You could explore giving services to those owners.
Also to physicians that send clients there--
could make your self known {that might render less fruit, but, you can try}--
chiropractors might let you leave your business card, etc..

I've never ('successfully,' LOL) belonged to a gym or exercise club, spa.
But maybe you could try forming a group or give classes in Movement/Dance through those venues, if you can get a good connection going {POST-Covid-19}.

Post Covid-- you could offer to go to Schools and do a Presentation, telling them about Movement/Dance and Music Therapies.

So.
Depends on 'where' your chart is going?
{Look at your Progressions!}

Some people (charts) grow more towards 'the intellectual' side of them... Others get super-long term transits and progressions that will push them further into more artistic expressions.

Take a good look at your natal and progressed.
Look at any Major Transit coming {like a Saturn Return}.
Look further into 'the future' transits,
and using your OWN intuition, 'knowing' how you are, your tendencies, then make some choices.

The mountain-thing sounds like it's Fun..
but really, would you be able to sustain self?
Would you be able to SAVE money CONSISTENTLY, towards your Retirement?
(IF some politicals get into power, they have worked towards dissolving the Social Security Program. -- which would place MANY in jeopardy for their lives in retirement IF your work didn't pay enough, and bosses weren't required to put their share of monies into the govt treasures.
And that's pretty frightening, actually.
You never know what Fate might hand you.
THAT was a CRUCIAL program. Some politicals want to abolish it?.. ~oy
Saves money for the Corporations to not have the requirement to pay-into your life in old age).

I had a neighbor who worked in creating sets, setting up audio, etc. The entertainment industry kind of collapsed. She was getting 'older' too... and still doing hard construction-type physical work.
At some points, a woman's body goes through changes.
She was not able to keep herself employed. Did it independent from a main company.
When she had to have some surgery, she was OUT of work, therefore no income, no 'company' to give her sick leave sick pay, etc.

Self-Insurances are expensive {when you are entrepreneuring-it}.. consider ALL the expenses and commitments to extra hours you'll be required-- including use of expensive consultants you need to trust (for honesty).

Randall has a good suggestion, if you want to open it out to the Personal Readings Community. I don't know many vocational-type astrologers there-- but they might come out of the woodwork!

So.

My Question---
Have you gone on look-sees to 'visit' the actual places that hire the kind of workers for what you are trying to decide to do?

Go on-campus. VISIT. Explore!
~~Feel the vibes~~
Observe.
Talk to folks that DO that job. Some may generously give you their time, and describe their duties and requirements in a more personal way. Doing that, you might get information that outsiders normally do not. And, they will know you are Interested. Might even give you tips and clues on 'where' people are hiring for the field you want to pursue.

Good to see you!

Hi Mirage!!! : ) : )

Good to see you!! : ) <3

Thanks for your GREAT Advice!!! I have a lot of work to do.

I’m currently taking Bach Flowers for many of these related factors … Cerato for trusting my intuition, Wild Oat for finding my path/calling, Larch for confidence, Hornbeam for needing to get to work, Walnut for enduring a transition… it’s possible I could need Gentian for encouragement, Gorse for hopelessness, or Chestnut Bud for repeating mistakes…

Thanks for your bluntness about the political and economic environment!!!

I’m not very experienced with transits / progressed charts except what astro.com says. I know I somewhat recently had a Saturn Return (I think 1.5 years ago? Right around when I left NYC), recently passed through a Pluto opposite Mars (same time I think), and am now enduring Pluto opposite Ascendant. There are some uplifting ones as well. I’ll look more into it, and feel out what they might bring as you said. Interesting about the “intellectual” or “creative” progression… what would indicate that?

Thanks for your points about visiting, getting a feeling, and trusting intuition… that gave me a physical reminder that maybe counseling is a more fitting route for me. That or possibly public teaching, or even corporate environmental work. At least, these were environments I’ve felt good in so far.

I’ve noticed, the short career report in astro.com seems to fit when I adjust it for relocations. I’ve tended to move quite a bit, and my strengths and patterns seem to change very much.

Maybe if I study counseling, I can incorporate other body-awareness, creative therapies, and maybe even holistic counseling eventually. The only hiccup / delay I’ve had with selecting this path is knowing where I’d like to live. If I study at a CACREP accredited program, that would allow me to work in a larger pool of states. I need to research whether that would allow me to move abroad if I decide to do that.

Another option I've considered is working freelance remotely using my computer doing various types of tech. editing. I'd need to boost my entrepreneurial streak for this (and confidence).

Thanks for helping me think it through!!!
