Randall, that is *so sad* that Linda stopped believing at the end of her life. And yet, she gave her friend Crystal the task of marketing her work and continuing to make it known ... maybe way deep down somewhere she did believe?? I wonder if as her friendly "gurus" died or disappeared from the earth plane, it just got too hard for her to keep believing all alone. Those publishers were so, so wrong. We may enjoy her pop astrology books (and they are much more sophisticated than many think), but we *love* her for the metaphysical wisdom she gave us - and most of us wished she could have done even more! Pisces Moon~ The 24 hour/day light sure does make perfect sense - another exercise in practicing immortality. My first experience noticing the *absence* of *white noise* was spending a few days at a lake in a cabin... there was so much NO noise that the noise I was hearing in my head was so loud I kept asking my husband, "what's that noise?" "what do you mean you don't hear it??" !!! It was beginning to freak me out I finally went and borrowed one of the boys' radios and turned it on so I could drown out my head noise! I don't like falling asleep in a pitch dark room... I need to be able to see if I get up to go potty and I've always needed music or TV to fall (no wonder with all that racket going on in my head! ! ) ~Princess ------------------ ~We can try many ways to get rid of the darkness, but none is as effective as simply increasing the light.~ UnkNown IP: Logged |

You can have sunrise without sunset if you have two suns ...IP: Logged |

But what if both Suns were on the same horizon ? Although, if they were on opposite horizons, one would still set, it just wouldn't get dark because the other one would be rising at the same time ? ~Princess ------------------ ~We can try many ways to get rid of the darkness, but none is as effective as simply increasing the light.~ UnkNown IP: Logged |

Princess, technically you're right, but most people associate sunset with certain changes, such as darkness and red sky and so on. With 2 suns, Linda would not have needed the lights on.IP: Logged |

Linda never stopped believing. Who said that? Come on fellow flakes - you don't really believe all you hear do you? Just because she died doesn't mean she stopped believing. She slept with the light on to defy time. Of course! No day and night cycle. Clocks running backwards and reading all sorts of time.....but which was the right one? Any of them? Or none? It couldn't possibly matter in a house of constant light. Heavens - imagine that electricity bill. This was someone who took the falsehood of time quite seriously. Apologies for radical theories and outspoken behaviour. IP: Logged |

Lady, I heard from a very reliable source that Linda had a point where she told a close friend she no longer believed anything she wrote. But it could have been just one of her down times. Actually, we couldn't kNow which of what we hear about Linda is true, as no one ever qualifies their shared information, which reduces all of it to rumor.~Princess ------------------ "War is not healthy for children and other living things." ~unknown IP: Logged |

Princess you are so right. All the more reason never to believe some things when your own heart is telling you the truth. We can never know some things for sure unless we were to hear them from Linda herself. Instead I just refer to her books. Just look at all Linda Goodman's wonderful books and the marvellous things she wrote. Look at this very site dedicated to her writings and you just HAVE TO know that rumours about her are only that - rumours. I agree with you Randall that she may have had a down moment. Isn't it funny how people always remember these sorts of things - never the uplifting things - always the negative and even though she might have said it once - it's as though she said it a million times. You have to consider how she went through quite a bit - anyones faith would surely lag at some point.IP: Logged |

It's true, Lady....you have to go by the KNOWING of your heart, and not what just seems to be real. Even seeing and touching it, doesn't necessarily made it 'real'. Only the confirmation from one's own heart makes it 'real'. ------------------

Darling YIVY,I think there's a very LOGICal explanation to why Linda always left all the lights ON. I don't agree she was afraid, she always insisted fear was faith in its negative form and Linda's faith was way, OH WAY!, in the positive territory. She also many, many times emphasized that TIME is an illusion. In her last chapter of her masterpiece STAR SIGNS she will among other things write: "...Time is an illusion. It allows humans to measure it because of the stark comparison between light and dark. That's the only "beginning and end" there is to measure. But when there was no darkness on earth, before the "fall", and before the planet's second sun exploded, causing the earth to spin around the remaining Sun like a billiard ball hit sharply with a cue stick - there was no Time..." (For those of you who want to read on, I quoted page 423 of the paperback edition) That's why she left all the lights on!!! She didn't want to MEASURE TIME as we do every day. She genuinely missed the second Sun!!! Oh and guys, how sad it is to hear that Linda ceased to believe in what she wrote (close to the end of her life). YIVY, do you think that when we cease to believe we also cease to BElive and beLIVE? IP: Logged |

Somehow, I know Tesla knew all about the second Sun too. Remember his bulbs in the ground? When the lightining hit they would lighten up half of Colorado!IP: Logged |

Like someone else said, it is an Aries thing. Aries, refuses to accept negativity in any form. She has written it in Sun Signs in 'How to Recognize Aries', 'Aries refuses to accept failure, even when it strikes him on the face'.------------------ You are endless galaxies, you have seen but one star - Linda Goodman, Sun Signs IP: Logged |

Even if Ms. Goodman got to feeling down, sad, lonely, or blue (like we all can and do) I don't think that has to equate to Linda losing her beliefs, or her faith ... I think things changed, as things do, and she changed her Mind - for whatever reason, in whatever way all for Hers, and Our Higher good - I'll just betcha ~Princess ------------------ "I think the Goddess lives in our humanity, and not anywhere else." ~Merlin's last words - to Viviann ~ . + * + . * . Miracle....since we do, in a way, control our reality...if you lose faith in that reality, things shift and lose form.So I do think that we have to BElieve to BeLIVE. So the best way is to pass BEyond Belief into absolute KNOWING! That sets it in concrete. ------------------
