I know discriminating my age group is an easy blow for anyone! But you know what it doesn't matter what you say! Becuase I know there are 50 million teenagers just like me. So when the tables are turned and we start ruling the world religion will change completly. There won't be single thing you can say or do when that happens. If your some kind of an astrologer (you must be since you know Linda Goodman.) Then you should know that my Sun, Jupiter, and North Node are sitting cozily in my 10th house. I also have Mercury in my 9th conjuct and very close to my midheaven. So you know what that means right? Public Achievment! Oh yes and a little bit of fame too! So I guess its a clue that when I'm older my ideas will be accepted after all. Don't ya think? Another thing this is a very kind and loving sight and theres absoulatly know cult-like mentality what so ever. It's a place where we share ideas! People come and go all the time. We allow people to disagree. But your trying to insult and thats what hurts. Go ahead! Keep insulting me I don't mind I won't right back either. I wasn't going to before but I couldn't help it. This will be the last you hear from me DarkAngel unless I'm on T.V but that will be a different story! Ps. Peace and Love! IP: Logged |

Starlover33: You just crack me up! Its obvious I can't have an intellectual discussion with you because everytime you post you show your immaturaty and lack of intellegence.Elizawhitworth: I never said I disliked the site, only negative behavior I noticed. As for me sticking around... well I think you guys make an interesting case study! LOL Relax people! There's no need to spill your emotions on a messageboard. Its only healthy debate. I'm not angry, just maybe a little annoyed and offended sometimes. I already see there is no point in dragging this further. You guys are very absolute when it comes to Linda and your beliefs. So I will move on and leave you guys in la-la land, oops! I meant Lindaland! (That was a joke) IP: Logged |

Dark Angel Why I wonder have you been a "quiet observer" of this site? It's strange that the first time you choose to speak, it's to be in a negative and abusive way. Is this your normal way of communicating? Would you speak so insultingly to someone if you were face to face with them? Or is it because you can hide behind the internet? What's happening in your life that's making you so angry? Do you really honestly feel that directing your anger at total strangers is the solution for you? Is it making you feel better? I don't need any answers to these questions. I just feel that they are questions you should be asking yourself. Maybe you'll surprise yourself at your answers. Sue IP: Logged |

Dear StarLover33, Hey there, teen, I know you'll go far at whatever you do. Aside from all my other activities, I taught high school English and Drama. The Drama was the most fun, because it was at an all girls high school. What a hoot. Those hard-working ladies gave me much hope for the future of the world. Never be upset, as you don't appear to be, at someone on a site. It's a chance for angry or argumentative people to vent, and if YOU move, you'll get bitten. Sort of like having a wasp buzzing around. It's good that you and Dark Angel can speak your respective minds here. I'm delighted that you have such confidence--that means you're hafway to success already. I'm now going to try, as I have in the past, to post a darn symbol of some sort! Aquamoon, thanks, but I've actually tried this a couple of times with no success on another thread. Here goes! If you guys don't see a mountain, I'm in a lot of trouble! Love to all, Skystone

Cat: Why are you beating a dead horse? If you read my last reply,(which you probably didn't)*sigh* you would see that I decided to leave this topic alone because everyone here is so absolute about thier beliefs, there is no room for intelligent debate. As for me being angry, well I'm not, and I never was. I happen to like my life very much and I have alot going for me. For a bunch of "whitelighter's" you guys can be very presumptuous! If I happen to be abrasive its because I just can't stand stupidity. My usual way of communicating with someone depends on the personality of the individual I'm talking to. If the person is smart I will treat them with respect. If the person is stupid I will treat them like the moron that they are. Its as simple as that. My only reason for getting on Starlover's case was because she gave me a stupid reply. The girl can't spell for one. Second, she made a stupid assumption that I was some astrologer and started talking to me in astrobabble, trying to sound smart but miserably failing! Third,LOL she told me how 50 million teenagers are going to rule the world someday and change religion! *laughing my ass off* So you see anyone in thier right mind wouldn't take that seriously. I know I didn't. Thats why I won't debate with her. IP: Logged |

Hi again Dark Angel... Hmmm, I'm not too sure what to add here since I respect and like the people you are being rude to. I know I should stick to the wise motto of "if you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything at all", but I am finding my tolerance short right now. Joking or not, this: quote: You guys are very absolute when it comes to Linda and your beliefs. So I will move on and leave you guys in la-la land, oops! I meant Lindaland! (That was a joke)
is rude. No question. And this: quote: You just crack me up! Its obvious I can't have an intellectual discussion with you because everytime you post you show your immaturaty and lack of intellegence.
is condescending and irresponsible. (As a side note, if you speak on "intelligence" and "immaturity", you should make sure they are spelled right.)You know, maybe I am taking you too personally and I'm being a bit too reactive here (I'll admit my shortcoming), but it all reminds me of a boyfriend I once had that was mentally and emotionally abusive to everyone around him. He always tried to turn things around and act like he was rational and everyone else was crazy... just wasn't the case though. Turns out he was emotionally and mentally abused as a child and it was ingrained in his personality. He was very unhappy. Unfortunate, but no excuse. Moving along, I notice that you never did respond with your beliefs or personal insights on ANY of the subjects mentioned. All that means to me is that this is not just a "healthy debate", you just wanted to tell everyone at Lindaland with beliefs you don't agree with that you think they are crazy and cult-like. Oh yeah, that's really cool... you go, Eminem.
Which brings up another small point. As far as Eminem is concerned, I like Dre's beats but when admiring content, you might want to familiarize yourself with Nas... much more clever and "intelligent" raps coming out of him. Some comedic value aside, Eminem just exploits YOU for your $$, believe it. And, despite his talent, he does have an abusive streak towards women, regardless of what you think is entertaining about him. I probably won't respond back to you after this if you just want to engage egos. I already feel like I'm wasting my time here. At first, I actually thought you were trying to make a sincere statement, but you continued beyond freedom of opinion, in mine. Maybe you are really being friendly and your personality just doesn't vibe with mine. You said this to someone else about Eminem: quote: He's very comical and only people with a sense of humor could appreciate that.
Maybe you see yourself as comical as well, and I just have no sense of humor... but I doubt it. Either your sense of humor is not translating well online or you are just plain rude and confrontational. Let me know, if you even care to.Maybe you'll decide to keep checking out this site in spite of your obvious disagreement with it. All I can say is that it is a wonderful place with alot of people sharing some awesome insight. My only advice to you no matter where you decide to go would be to take what helps and discard the rest if it is not your thing. No need to disrepect others, ever... really. Peace, Pearly

Dark Angel, since you have the audacity to talk about someone else's spelling, I thought I might reproduce a quote from a Post you made: quote: Starlover33: You just crack me up! Its obvious I can't have an intellectual discussion with you because everytime you post you show your immaturaty and lack of intellegence.
It's "immaturity" and "intelligence." Perhaps, you are the one who should have a dictionary near your computer. I was taking you at your word that you are leaving, but since you have not, let me be the first to bid you a fond adieu. Just as one should respect another's home as a guest in it, Lindaland has also has Rules of conduct, as any "intelligent" person should know. When you are willing to show common courtesy to your hosts, we may invite you back into our home. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Hey Dark Angel don't go yet......I have something to say...First of all your name sounds like mine....I'm D'Archangel ....how about that??? Anyway...I would like to say that I've known a lot of people in my life, but I think this is the first time I've ever been called...let's see now...it was PATHETIC..LAUGHABLE...and FRIGHTENING... Right? Girl, what was your point in coming here? You knew you were going to ruffle feathers with comments like that...and I'd say you've succeeded...Did you get the feedback you were looking for? You must have known you'd be stirring up something...*sigh* As a member of this community, I take offense at your comments, and I find it really sad, that you feel that way.. ..... I don't consider Linda a god (and I don't think anybody else here, does either), but she was a very special person, who happened to come into an abundance of metaphysical information, and using large amounts of her time and energy, shared it willingly, with the world, through her informative books..and for you to call her CRAZY, is beyond my comprehension! *sigh*
I have read every one of them, and they have been beneficial to me, in so many ways, that I can't begin to count them.... I sign off quite a sane person...not laughable, pathetic, and insane....sorry.. Rainbow~ ------------------

Hi Dark Angel, Imagine that… 3 billion people in this planet that once a week, some more than that, going to a place to eat the body and drink a man's blood that lived two thousand years ago. There's no real proof of this man's existence , but those people don't give up on believing. They believe that this man ,that died two thousand years ago, (if some day he was really among us) have the power to change their lives, the power to transform their lives for better. You already have been able to guess: those people are called " Catholics " and that man that they follow is knowing by the name of Jesus. Are those people crazy or insane ? Maybe. But they have the right to do it. -------------------------------------- This is the real magic of life: people have the right to believe in what they want. --------------------------------------- I believe that your intention is just to create controversy, but anyway, I want to thank you. In first place, I want to thank you because it's such a pleasure verify the people's opinions with open mind that are among us. People that even under a bombing , gave you good arrivals to the site. Every day I feel more pleasure in being here. In second place I want to thanks because you make me see that after all my English is not that bad... Peace to you ! IP: Logged |

Dearest Knowflakes,I'm afraid it was I who brought up Eminem. I was saying that he and his ilk have done far more damage to more people than cults like the Branch Dividians and Heaven's Gate. Eminem's lyrics are filled with hate toward WOMEN, gays, the law, you name it. His attitude incites violence in young kids--and I do mean young--9,10 and up. Little boys don't need to emulate that guy's professed beliefs. Dark Angel wouldn't have mentioned him at all if I hadn't used him as an example. I can't help it--music springs to mind often as a way of comparison. I've had a fun life, and started playing lead guitar and a young teen in a Rock, Rythmn and Blues Band. Boy, could I do "Wipe-Out." My bandmates and I graduated from High School, and college broke us up. Good thing--Jimi Hendix bowed in the year I bowed out. Wow, I couldn't TOUCH that guy! Leave when you're on top! Anyway, I'm the one who started the Eminem debacle, and I take full responsibility. Give me that old time rock and roll any day. (What a fossil!!) Hope we can become peaceable here, soon. Love to each and every one. Skystone, ancient dinosaur who survives

And to Jackiep, I was astounded to read your last remark doubting your English. What a beautiful and eloquent posting. Magnificent. Have sweet dreams, all. Skystone IP: Logged |

Skystone: Thank you for clarifying who brought up the Eminem issue. I agree with many things you said and your fairness in this is admired by me My response about Eminem to Dark Angel's comments, I still stand by. I will not stand by while abuse takes place, neither will I be abused indirectly by being grouped into someone's generalizations. I really wish Dark Angel well and would have liked to participate in healthy discussion about the original topic, but sometimes you just have to see things for what they really are and let go... however, I apologize to Dark Angel and Skystone for getting the posts confused.
Anyway, for what it's worth, I think sometimes things like this help me to realize how much I do love having a place like Lindaland. Thanks again Randall for all your effort and being protective of the space here. I enjoy Lindaland much! Peace, Pearly IP: Logged |

"Emimem" is such a peaceful looking word I never connected it! Of course, it would have helped if I had pronounced it as it`s ment by it`s owner. Thank you for the kind words. I dont think I can give any explaination better than whats been given regarding your original post, and i definately dont want to argue about it. But I'll give you my own personal opinion in the most down-to-earth way possible. Linda Goodman wrote a library of works full of information, some of it easy to digest, like her astrology books, some of it a little more "out there" for the general public's standards, like Star Signs or Gooberz. The reason I personally feel a closenss to Linda - the person, and not just what she wrote, came from reading her books. She's an author that put herself completely into her works. She didnt write cold impersonal condesending *words* like so many authors - she wrote in a way that she speaks directly to you, almost like a conversation. So I became a fan not just of her books...but her, as a person. The same way you might be a fan of a musician or an artist, or any other writer, who creates a product that you can relate to. Did you ever hear a song and think "I could have wrote this - this is exactly how I feel."? Its similar to that only it obviously goes even deeper when it deals with metaphysics. And luckily, Linda never told anyone to do anything dangerous like jump of a bridge, or drink poison, or wait for a spaceship, or anything like that. Therefore, there is no dangerous cult factor. A following dosent mean a cult. The most strict follower of Linda's teachings couldn't possibly do anything to hurt themselves or another person. That dosent mean a fan or follower of Linda's works can do no wrong - whatever additional beliefs or practices that person might have is up to them. The saying "by your fruits you shall know them" sums it up pretty well - I've never heard of someone being hurt by practicing something they learned in a Linda Goodman book. Actually, I've only heard the opposite. You dont need to agree with everything Linda wrote or everything people on this message board might say. Thats the beauty of it - there is no dogma. Linda and this site both encourage exploring, and thinking for yourself. I dont post here often but whenever I do, or if I read the posts, it is a such a breath of fresh air from similar places on the Internet. Its a very positive place. Im not trying to change your mind, all I can think is that if the board makes you uncomfortable, I wouldn't bother reading it. We all have a right to agree AND disagree peacefully. IP: Logged | |
