When you are on a path of enlightenment, it is sometimes difficult to deal with the primative aspects of 'current' reality. You know in your heart that 'this' is not all there is and your mind continues to take you to a new reality, one you find more desirable than the one you live in. Often in pursuit of these new answers and lessons, our attention begins to waver from what is still considered 'real'. Like illness, financial dealings and relationships. The small details of everyday life that continually challenge even the most faithful! I believe, like myself in recent years, this is what happened to Linda. She spent more and more time on her teachings and the way she felt her reality should be and went into denial about everything else. All the teachings she has shared with us have great value and are moving all of humanity towards a new stage of evolution but she needed a lesson herself. To always, always remember to walk with balance between the known world and the many worlds beyond. She forgot that and so have many of us! Perhaps the universe, seeing this trend as a possible setback for the evolution of mankind, decided that Linda's death would serve as a wake up call to us all for many years to come. We must move ahead in our spiritual growth but we still have an obligation to the flesh. We are still human beings living in a physical world. The power of the mind is strong, even in the new testament Christ said of the miracles he performed, 'you too shall do all this and more'. But that power is not yet evolved to the point that we can ignore the tools and lessons already available to us. (i.e. diet, exercise, working with the current medical profession in addition to using newer techniques of healing). Linda Goodman's faith in her beliefs was admirable and I have much respect for her. I think she just let her attention to the 'whole picture', waver too long. I don't know if this lesson holds true for anyone else, but for me it came at a very critical time and is to date, the most important lesson she ever taught me! *Makes an appointment with my doctor to address a pressing health problem that I have been ignoring for some time. I've been so confident that I could create an instant healing from within that maybe I have overlooked some very real solutions already available.*

I have Pisces Rising so I know what you mean about "fantasy" vs. "reality". As far as I'm concerned, let people tell me I'm a dreamer or "out of touch" with reality; I don't care, because my truth is that if I DIDN'T escape from what I see as a pretty harsh and cruel world sometimes into my metaphysical studies, I'd be locked up or 6 feet under by now.

Just over the weekend, I saw Wayne Dyer quote the Row Your Boat song on a PBS program! He translated the first line:

"Row, row, row YOUR boat (not someone else's, not one other people THINK you should be rowing); but YOUR boat." I loved that!

star lover, you have my support. i feel for what you are going through... have you done much astrology work, on your chart? i would look closely at saturn... he has wisdom. i do not see him as harsh and unforgiving like most astrologers seem to. i can relate to you in many ways too. i have sometimes had suicidal thoughts, and far in the past have acted on them (i almost did succeed once, but got pneumonia for my trouble *sigh*). my real life nickname is faery, and that might tell you a little about how i am... i often dont feel 'of this world'... not that im better or beyond it, i just sometimes dont feel like i fit in this world. perhaps i could share with you some of my experiences with how ive coped... i am at a place in life now where both the world and i compromise a little, but not enough to capitulate so its a win win. if you ever want to talk, look me up. i would look at your chart too, to see if i could help you in that respect. apologies if you have done that already, i dont know because i just joined here, and perhaps you have it under control... no biggie.

i love that wayne dyer quote, although i must confess i dont know who he is heh. its very good though.

I kind of like to distance myself from society - something I realised while reading Star Signs about the number 30. Most people seem to strive for attention or popularity (especially back in school) and I never realised why I didn't until I "met" Linda. For a while I saw magic everywhere, but I still resisted attention. I think sometimes it comes down to sensitivity. Whether we can handle open competition or just want to experience the game... I love the game, but I agree it can be hard.

I'm not sure what my point is but I feel that by living and constantly striving we CAN acheive anything - if not in this life, we have set up a good start for the next
