In 1995, my godmother, (a Taurus) gave me my first Linda Goodman book for my birthday, called Sun Signs. I instantly fell in love with it. I thought it amazing. I then proceeded to buy Gooberz, Venus Trines at Midnight, Love Signs, Relationship Signs, Star Signs.. etc etc. I also, believe that it was around October of 1995, that I recieved the book. The irony of this, and the fact that Ms. Goodman passed away the very year I became aawre of her, has haunted me for a long time. I sometimes wonder, if it isn't her own hand in this. I am a triple fire sign, Leo sun, Aries Moon, Sagittarius Rising, and can be just as stubborn as her when it comes to her infamous stubborness. But, as I was saying, at the time I was in the 5th grade. Ever since then I have kept a close watch on all things astrological in my life, and the coincidences which Linda talks about in Star Signs. AStrology, through Linda, ahs become a way for me to find the patterns in the chaos. For example, concerning love, even though the signs I had fallen in the deepest love with were a Leo, an Aquarius,and a Sag; for the past couple of years, I have been a serial Gemini/Libra dater. If I am not dating one or the other, I am liking one or the other. In fact last year alone I dated three Gems in a row, all whose bdays were within the same week! Even though, I know these signs well, and I don't believe a permanent union could happen with them,because most are fickle about commitment, and even though we get along so famously, I still somewhat believe that I will one day marry a Leo or Sag. The thing that aggrivates me though, is that I have these questions, about the patterns I see, not only in my life but in general, all these connections I make, and yet... Linda isn't here to talk to them about. Had I been older when I first learned of her, I would have made that journey to Cripple Creek to sit and have af ew words wit her, because I really feel this connection with her. And a word on lexology, her initials in real life were MAK, mine are AMK, BUT were supposed to be (by Greek tradition) MAK, but my mother decided to name after my fathers mother instead of her own. Anyways, I am 19 now, and am still constantly surprised by all the little coincidences I see in my everyday life. I am now living with my boyfriend, a Libra, to a pretty harmonious if not trying at some times relationship. But from Linda I have learned, that if there is any friction between me and him, that it is because of something I did to him in my past life (if he upsets me) so I take it in strife and forgive him. Something that Linda kinda touched on, and which I preach on is that, I do believe that once you have fully accepted and learned everything from your sign, you can move beyond it. And I know this is a stereotypically leo thing to say, but I do feel that I am ready to move beyond it, I have accepted what I am, the good and the bad, and have focused on the good, in the hopes that when I do pass, (something which i am not fearful of but inquisitive), I will be allowed to keep all this knowledge I have garnered in this life and those previous.

When I was young, I used to cry to myself, always feeling that I was alone in how I felt. How much love I had for the innocent beings of this planet, and just love for the underdogs of the world in general. I always felt that I needed to speak for all the injustices done to so many entities around the world. For this reason, I have chosen to become a filmmaker. One day I hope to make a movie on Linda's life, for her affect on me has been one of the longest of anything I have ever been interested. Im not sure what Linda believed astrology was, to me, from her writtings, I don't think she truly believed it interferred with any of the mainstream belief systems, but I treat astrology as a sort of psychology. If I know someone is a Taurus lets say, there are certain traits that I know about them, which would assist me to better understand and love them. Just like if one is a schizophrenic, and has certain personality traits. That sort of deal. I believe astrology is a gift given to us, to better udnerstand one anther. The knowledge that it gives us, is the oppurtunity to understand, and live with peace of eachother.

Anyways, I know this kind of went all over the place, but I just had to share my feelings about Linda and her affects on me.

I didn't like the site too much, cause it was all about money. I had ordered some purple plates from it a few years ago though. I was also wondering whatever happend to the institute that they were saying they were going to make? I tried searching for it online, but it too didn't bring anything up.
