Mysterious odor hits Cripple Creek 2 workers sick; schools locked down; homes evacuated By JEREMY MEYER THE GAZETTE The Colorado Springs Gazette May 21 - CRIPPLE CREEK - An odor sickened at least two Cripple Creek workers early Thursday and caused authorities to block off streets, evacuate homes and lock down schools.
In the end, the origin of the solvent-like smell that produced headaches and caused burning sensations in the city workers' throats was a headscratcher. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5031083/ "They did find something there,"," Cripple Creek Police Chief Larry Hamilton said. "But they just don't know what it is." The mystery began about 9 a.m., when two workers from the Utilities Department who were building a sidewalk in the 200 block of Masonic Avenue reported feeling ill from an unidentified odor. Not long after, the police barricaded streets and began going door to door, evacuating about 25 residences." Wonder if its something Tesla buried??? Masonic Ave. , that's interesting!! ------------------ Peace and Love L.V.X. Annie IP: Logged |

More than likely the stench is connected to the gambling and greed and abuse of the Money Mystique in poor old Cripple Creek. Alas, CC is not the place it used to be. I'll keep an eye peeled in local papers, and update if I hear. Kells IP: Logged |

Or, it could merely be some sort of gas emission from all the leftover mines.MK IP: Logged |

I agree, I seriously doubt Tesla would have left anything toxin or harmful behind. Most all his devices had little or no by products, and he dealt primarily in energy, communication and locomotion. Of course some of his experiment would have landed him in jail in this day and age. Particularly the one that set the world record for largest man-made lightning bolt. If he had performed the same experiment today he would have fried every computer, tv, vcr, dvd player and other electronic device attached to ground within a few miles. As it was he cause power for the entire city to be shut down for a while because he caused feedback to the power company's generator and it caught fire, Unintentionally of course.IP: Logged |
