Has anyone ever made a trip to CC to see Linda's house? Is it worth the trip? I want to visit but I heard that CC isn't really a nice town to visit. Any thoughts or insights?peace, candida IP: Logged |

One of her houses was turned into a bed and breakfast inn, and they kept Linda's room the same, complete with her books. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Hey I found this sign by accident! What a great one dedicated to Linda Goodman. She was a wonderful person! I grew up in Cripple Creek and knew Linda fairly well. My grandmother and I used to clean both of her houses for her. When she was in town, we would sit and talk with her. My grandmother had a copy of Gooberz that was type written, before it ever when to print. An awesome book!!!!!! As far as her houses they are both very spiritual places and I suggest that you go and visit them. I make the trip once a year to say "Hi" to her. It's a great place to visit, as long as you can get past the main street! Great old houses, lots of history and a beautiful drive.....IP: Logged |

Welcome tinkerbell! Please, share some of your stories and reflections on Linda with us. You have a most eager audience here. We love lots of detail, no matter how small. Like, where did you sit and talk? Did Linda sip tea or eat cookies? We'd love to hear what you talked about...you sound as though you loved and admired her very much. Were you able to attend her funeral? IP: Logged |

Unfortunately I was not able to attend her funeral. She was an amazing woman! Most times we would sit out on her deck and drink constant comment tea. She used to tell me the next time I came for a visit I could swim in her pool, but every time, we would get caught up in conversation and before we knew it, it was 4 hours later. IP: Logged |
