Hi all, I have not been to this site in a year or more. I am going to Cripple Creek at last this August and need to read up on it. Can you recommend which books of Linda to read that mentions it? Or what about Tesla? I'm going to see if they have a haunted house tour. THANKS

I will have to get it from the library, thanks. The man who owns the website, cripplecreekhistory.com was shocked when I said Tesla was connected to the town. Then when I looked in a book about Tesla, it only connected him to Colorado Springs area. Is my memory incorrect in that he lived at Cripple Creek before Linda? If anyone knows anything more about this, please write to the webmaster of CrippleCreekHistory. Thanks.IP: Logged |

He owned Linda's house. That should be easy to check on by going to the county courthouse where Deeds are recorded.------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Let us know how it goes when you visit.------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. Thanks for thinking of me. I am probably not going to get to go this year because of the price of gas where we live ($2.45) as we were going to take our motorhome. However, your information came in handy because I told a guy who has his own website about Cripple Creek that Linda owned that house and he was really surprised he did not know this fact before. He thanked you guys for the info. Maybe he included it in the history part of his site. I will have to find it again and check that out. IP: Logged |

I went over to the cripplecreekhistory.com site and he hasn't placed anything there about Linda yet. She could be listed under "Personalities of Cripple Creek." If you like, go to his site and ask that a story about her and the Tesla house be put up there. His email address is there.IP: Logged |

That's strange, since everyone back then knew her, and she basically put that town on the map.------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." Really, well the webmaster insisted he never knew she was connected to the town or Tesla's house. I guess he has not updated his site, either, because I can't find anything on there about Linda after he was so appreciative of the new information. IP: Logged |

He must have not lived there long.------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. He doesn't live there. He just vacations there. I think he has kind of lost interest in the website, as there is a note on there about him going away for awhile. IP: Logged |
