All right then....lets see. I have a picture of Linda from the high school year book, I was told the age is 17.

the picture of sam is on here too.

also on page 14 of Gooberz it says:

"Nana allowed me to play with my Aunt Peg's delicate doll dishes
but never-ever with her Haviland china
Which I was not permitted to touch, not even at dinner...
I had my own Goosey Gander plates, which I could break without the danger of being spanked in front of...a visiting stranger

that dining room had the most MAGICAL thing!

there was this spot on the floor, under the table, beneath the rug
where Nana sat-and when you pressed your foot EXACTLY on the spot like that! what a musical sound it played!
It rang a bell in the kitchen, for the listening maid
so she would know it was time to bring the dessert-when she heard the silvery ding!
Oh! I thought that was a truly, truly marvelous thing.

Sometimes I hid under the dining room table
and pressed the spot with my thumb as many times as I was able
until I got caught and was not allowed to finish dinner
then was sent upstairs to bed THIS MINUTE! and not even allowed to play
but I honestly didnt mind all that much
because Dadoo always sneaked my meal up later on a tray
and it really tasted better that way, when he wink-blinked at me
with kind, wise eyes.. and I wink-blinked back at him
which was our secret for a special surprise
then he would sit with me for awhile, as I ate
to watch the windmill go round and round
the one on top of the service station across the street
so my punishment became a special treat.
because he'd tell me stories, then-about Jesus and Lincoln and Tom Sawyer and Hucklebetty Finn, with his bright-kind-wise
Dadoo grin
and whisper, when he finally kissed me goodnight
that I had a dimple in my chin, which meant, he said
I had a angel within."

The windmill in the picture is the one she use to watch. I am all about visualations so seeing it was fun for me. Not in person, just the picture.

I hope the link takes you there.

the picture was from a high school year book and the person blew it up. he said thats why its fuzzy, but I see some features in both of them. the chins are exactly alike, the hair makes a difference calling on the times. the color photo is on a angle, the head, I wish they were both upright instead of one on a slant.

I will check though. But the picture is from a gentlemen in W. Va, that I am sure wouldnt just give me any picture.

I am on the hunt again!!!! LOL

Sorry Thor, but that pic looks nothing like Linda, even taking into consideration the pixels. And more than physical characteristics...the aura is just wrong. Just my opinion...

But it's thoughtful of you anyway.

On my above post I was trying to find a good comparison picture, black and white, and she's very young there.

I just don't see Linda in that photo!
Randall, Trillian, cast your votes?
Very curious!

I, myself, wouldnt dimiss it all together just yet.

That black and white that Sunchild posted of Linda was taken in 1968. Or at least it was from Sun Sings (1968) ... if it were taken in 1968, and she was born in 1926/1925 ... she'd be 42-43yrs , not 17 in that picture ....

I (imo) do see some resemblences there of a very young Linda ... I see the chin, the eye brow bones, and possibly the nose (the shape is there, but its kinda hard to tell being fuzzed and all) ....

Be interesting to see what more Thor gets on this .... if anything.

yeah I hear you. I was told that the picture that I posted was a 17 year old Mary Alice Kemery so that would be around 1943, in fact I am going to post the email from the gentlemen. I had put his name in the first forum when I put Sam Goodman's picture up, and I asked Randall to edit it out (I forgot I could do it myself...I am so computer savvy! LOL) but here is the email he sent me.

"I appreciate your efforts in getting my ID out of the post. Whatever I send, it will be through you, and it can be posted if you wish, but please do not reveal where you got it. I just don't want to deal with some who would try any way possible to get information from me regarding Linda, and I don't want to be bothered to that extent. You might like this photo. It's Linda's graduation picture from her yearbook (1943.) I enlarged it some, and it's a little grainy, but this is what she looked like when she was 17. I know she was born in Morgantown, but she would just not talk about birthdays. From Gooberz, I know it was in April, but the specific date is not really known. Her birth certificate is not on file in this county.
BTW, Her father was Robert Kemery and her mother was Annette. He drove a truck route for a local bakery. Linda was an only child.
That out of body experience you had is really fascinating. I listen to George Noory's "Coast to Coast" overnight....and am always so interested the stories of people who have experiences like that."

He is a very sencere older man. I found him, and I really can't see him pulling something like this for attention, I mean, he really doesnt want to be bothered at all!! I am sure he has had his gang of people who have come down there and bothered him.

As he said in the front post, on page one, where I posted his email, he worked with Linda and Sam, and introduced them.

I can only go by what he has given me already and so far he has been right on the money.

I just see that the year book picture of (presumebly)Mary Alice Kemery as that of a young girl at age 17. The other picture is Linda Goodman at what was the age, maybe 43 or so, thats the picture of a woman! From 1943 to 1968 is like 25 years..no one looks like their high school year book picture (exactly like it) for 25 years. lol.

I will hold the door open until he responds, I want to be sure too. I want to know, thats why I posted it.

The Truth is out there....

I am sure Randall is doing research on it right now...lol

BTW...he asked me if I was old enough to have seen linda on television or such or read her books, and I told him, how my third eye was popped back open (through a OBE)..thats where the out of body experience was coming from, just in case you were wondering what the heck we were talking about. lol.

We will all get to the bottom of this kids.

I'm sure the guy with the pics is sincere, he's done nothing wrong.

I posted that picture because it captured a great essence of Linda, and it's not felt compared to the other picture in question, but even on face value I still don't see it at all.
It's just what I believe, but it's a-ok to persue it to find out officially, you know, the search will be fun

Sunchild,
your right, that is my favorite picture of her, She could have been a movie star!!

I guess sometimes we get so excited to find something and sometimes we dont know if its real or not, the excitement and pressure takes us over, and we are at the point of saying, "do I trust this person, are they giving us the right info?"

Then you just open up your heart..and your twin sELF and say "HERE I AM, SEND ME, SEND ME" and its all done. sometimes we make mistakes, sometimes we are right on the target. All in all it's all in the name of love...BONOBOY I am!

now lets get back to business.

on page 48 or Gooberz, it reads like this:

"STAR LIGHT, STAR BRIGHT

one gold-brushed afternoon, in early fall
I was sewing doll clothes at Anna Margaret Frost's house
around the corner from my own-on Thirteenth and a Half street
so named, I guess, because it was only one block long
and next to Thirteenth Street-what could be more logical?

there were six of us-Caroline Fay and Judy Witte
Mary Jean Corbitt, Ann Rich, Anna Margaret..and me (and I ?)

we were all in the same secret L.O.Q. club, and we had a coded yell
we would shout AHH-EEH-AHH ! trying to imitate Tarzan
to call each other out to play
it was absolutely forbidden, on the pain of ex-communication
not to answer that Tarzan yell, even if we were taking a bath
or sound asleep-once I got Caught, when they yelled, in the tub
and BOY-OH-BOY ! did I ever give my big toe a stub
running over to the open window to answer

that afternoon..though I guess it was closer to evening
late afternoon, near dusk or twilight
we had been sewing away all day, and my fingers were numb
from needle pricks, since I refused to wear a thimble
to much bother-besides, I hated to sew-sweing is so dumb
but the rest of them loved it, and I had this thing
about anyone doing anything better than me-I mean, Than I

Caroline's mother was an English teacher in high school, you see
which made us all a little nervous about grammer
she had taught my aunt and my father
and would also teach me-since I hoped maybe to someday be
a real, honest-to-goodness writer
that is, if I ever managed to make it to high school English class

bored with sewing, I was turning somersaults in the grass
some cartwheels and back bends too
feeling my bones growing..a little tense, and needing to stretch
when I saw, over near the hedges, by the fence
a dead bird"

Now she mentions five friends in that little passage (LITTLE?) that goes on to talk about the burying of the baby robin, Anna Margaret went to get a match box and there was a funeral.

Now, of those five friend, I have been given pictures of two of them. they are Mary Jean Corbitt and Carolyn fay. I have also been given a better picture of Mary Alice Kemery, the same picture, but not fuzzy like before. also included is the front of the year book.

I have been told that Mary Alice (this is what my friend calls her, or our friend, because he is very kind in giving us this info) had turned 18 in april, 1943 and the pictures for the year book were taken in feb. and March, so she was 17.

the person stated that they had a "steady Girl" all through hi-schoool, so they didnt run with that crowd that much then. They came into the picture later on, in the early 50's.

Now I think this is proof enough. She names these friends in Gooberz and here we have the pictures of them all, well two and Linda, plus the front of the book.

I felt bad asking for more info, but I needed to make sure we all slept well later...lol. I love you guys!!

go back to the photo album and look at the pages, one has Carolyn Fay, the other Mary Jean Corbitt, and then Our Linda again.

I was talking to someone else and we were commenting on how all the people from that era look so much older than they are. they definately dont look like they're 17,but then again, children nowadays dont look like there 13, 14, 15, they look so much older and they're not.

I hope this brings this to a end and we can agree on that picture. We have been given something so special. Besides those people from that era, in that school, who own that year book, maybe only Linda's children have pictures of her at that age.

NUFF SAID....as we say in the comic book world!

Love,
Thor.

nahhh, i could never be upset with you. You've done nothing wrong, or have you!?!?! LOL

Personaly, i think your Correct in your findings. I mean the names refrenced in Gooberz matching the names in the Year Book from the school that Linda went to, as well as Linda's photo. Linda said so herself that theres no such thing as coicidence!

Thor you as very lucky to have come across such a kind person. Whos willing to share these wonderful pictures with you. And take the time to scan and send them to you. Although he must have seen the same in you. For him to say he doesnt like to be bothered by people questioning him about Linda and in turn sharing with you - says alot!

Great Work!

Goodness, Thor, I don't think anyone could be mad at you! People just get busy on the weekends, don't spend as much time at LL.

Following your link to the copy of the pic that is less pixelated, I see more resemblance to Linda. It still doesn't *feel* like her to me, but that may be because her works were written when she was older, and that is the Linda with whom I am familiar. I barely recognize my own self's energies when I look back at 17.

What compels you to compile all this, Thor? Simple love for Linda, or are you working on a project?

I am going to split this up into parts, because I am having problems posting it all as one piece. I am sure its my computer savvy with icons....Marcy...

Part 1

Trillian, Just Love, Love, Love. That is all. I think that Randall should put his foot forward (if he isn’t doing that already) and go ahead with that book he talked about so long ago.

I feel that the Linda we know is so wonderful, but there is so much more to her. Reading that clip on Linda when she passed away, was it with people weekly or something? Anyway it said that she had a hard time with here temper:

>>>Goodman's intensity and generosity drew friends to her: She frequently thanked acquaintances for favors with gifts of cars or expensive jewelry, a habit that led her into bankruptcy in the late 1980s. But they were often driven away by her demands and her temper--a reaction Goodman never seemed to understand>>>.

Of course we know how fire signs are with their temper, and if anyone of those friends had really listened to what she was telling them, (because I am sure that she told them all about themselves and all about her sign per say warning of the passion she behold, not the temper, Heck I am a SAG and my temper is legendary-lol) they would have had patience with her greatness.

I think that by looking in places that we sometimes don’t think to look, there are treasures for us.

The people weekly article also said:

>>>>Although her family says Goodman always had a very spiritual side, her interest in astrology didn't blossom until she moved to New York City in 1963. There she sometimes spent 20 hours a day in a nightgown doing charts and poring over a coffee-table book on astrology as she wrote Sun Signs. "She was very determined," says Jill, an artist and one of two children (son Michael, 35, is an aspiring writer) from the Goodman marriage (Sam died in 1983)>>>>.

20 hours in a nightgown! Now thats me sometimes, not in the night gown, but thinking all the time about numerology, what I am going to put in this book, what I am not going to put in it. It’s a mad game of night and day! I start when the house is quiet, about 11 p.m., and go until 3 or 4 in the morning. I just have those kinds of nerves that need silence.

When I read that passage about her, working all night, I think it’s a symbol to those of us that are seekers to seek. A message that the truth is under all rocks and pebbles and when thrown, will make ripples (as Bruce Lee once said-the pebble and ripple) that will skip over the sinking minds of endless and deep uncertainty. When you Read Gooberz, there are things in the book that she puts there for a reason. Usually an author will change names of people, and places. Linda didn’t do that.

Now when you put a persons name in a book, you need to ask for permission, unless they are passed, if their name is put in print, they know (if the author being very popular) that book may pull people to come and talk to them one day, for some a true headache!!

But what if the author did this so that people would want to know. So that people would want to seek....

Now her daughter Jill said (in the article) that her astrology interest blossomed in 1963...what about before that? What is there before that time?

ONLY someone that cares truly about Linda in every way could write a book that would show how the blossoming began before 1963, when did that seed get put in the ground...yes Gooberz talks a lot about that life in the beginning, but not all of it. I am not talking about finding out anything that would hurt her, because I think Sally's incident is probably the worse thing in her life.

Darn it...lost my train of thought, a nice Mormon lady just brought me a huge welcome cookie. Lets see...

Part II

When I read that obituary, I was like, "why are they printing that she believed that Elvis was alive, or that the FBI ,CIA or Government were behind Sally's disappearance, they pretty much made her look like this once incredible Genius who became a mad woman. Of course we know this isn’t true. If the person who wrote that article had read Linda's books, that obituary would have been written better, because that person would have understood her better, within their heart.(and if that person is here now and does understand, I apologize for the words)

No one can say that what she said isn’t true, No one! I think that sometimes SOME are given the keys to great knowledge and they succeed at most of them, but then some are bound to master the others (such as immortality) What was the road map that led her intensely to that kingdom?

Of course who ever wants, or has the time to take that journey to those different places and searched for the Truth of who this Magnificent Woman was, (because she was so much more than we will ever know)
They will go on a journey that may seem endless and dark, but if they do, there words must be true..

I guess thats why I found or sought what I did and still will. Because whoever that person is (and it could be me one day, if no one else steps up to the plate) its good that they have more information than they need to complete a real biography of who she was to US!

How many people have written books on presidents, poets (and their glorious words, even books on their untimely deaths-Anne sexton etc), artist, everyone. Why shouldn’t someone gain the courage to do this also.

I don’t think that Linda will ever die as long as we don’t let her.

Some might not like what I am going to say, but My arrow is soaring where it can, and sometimes that lightning bolt from my Zeus side tends to hit where it hurts badly (compliments of Katherine Burt’s book, "archetypes of the zodiacs”).

Linda stated:

“Money must not change hands between esoteric teacher and student”

Also:

“…Since the ancient teachings say that the one who heeds not the warning forbidding the exchange of money between teacher and student will soon “lose the gift of perception” and consequently will no longer be sought by the “students.”

Now I remember when the other site was up, when I first saw it I didn’t like it, nor feel anything good about it, mostly because of the above quote. I, like so many, were happy to find this site! Mostly for me, because I felt it went by what Linda said. Now when I first found LindaGoodman.net and Linda-goodman.com I registered at both. This was a long time ago…and when it happened, I felt so confused so I didn’t come back to anyone of them, I thought, “wait” and see what happens. Unfortunately I forgot my name and password, so I joined again last year, but when I did come back to find the other one gone, I was happy that I waited to see who would prosper…and in my heart (as Many of you also), I knew it wouldn’t be the first one. (funny I found my other member name on here after I joined again)

Some charge for their services as astrology teachers, or numerology teachers, I say, do what you do, it is your road, possibly you have a plan (such as giving half of your proceeds away…) that balances out the Karma of such endeavors.

For me, I just keep it the way I was told to, I truly believe her words of wisdom.

PART III

“MYSTICAL KNOWLEDGE IS POWER, AND POWER WILL ALWAYS TEND TO CORRUPT”
AND:

“Esoteric mysteries must be approached cautiously, with reverence and compassion, with a genuine desire to use their magics to end the world’s suffering…to relieve the pain of individuals…and to bring happiness to friends and strangers alike. Yes, and also to enemies. Even especially to these.”

I believe that if those guidelines had been taken with the other site, it would still be here. From the past post I have read here, it was a nightmare, all of the things that went on, and that is unfortunate, because so much more could have come from two sites working together.

What happened was not a ‘Series of strange coincidences, they weren’t coincidental at all” when you take advantage of someone else’s work, because it will bring in profit…not ever lasting fame, you will get burned! And it may not have been anyone’s intention to make profit, but the RULE stands, because she wrote it down!
If the other web site had lasted in her name, selling reports, having daily forecast, etc, then our Linda would be as all the other Astrologers! And we all know that she was not at all like everyone else!
She Rammed down walls with no fear. That’s what I think we hold here. Maybe not ramming down the walls, but opening doors that will open minds to see more.

Its such a grand world we live in, we have so many options, so many roads to travel, you go that way, I go this way, eventually we will meet up and tell what Tales of adventure we encountered!

I have a project that I have been working on, that is totally because of what Linda taught in her books. It’s a book on numerology, but not just a book about it. There are many books that talk about the two forms of numerology. I even bought a book where the author had both systems in the book, but he stated, “Chose only one!” He didn’t say which was best, he gave you two roads and he said take it. The difference with my books and others is, it shows you that it really works with out any speculation. The reader won’t be saying, “Well you can say that about anything, My aunt can put a bunch of pop tops on a table and do your numbers!” The book has taken about ten years, (funny, someone was saying to me, that Linda’s books were so good, so wonder she took about ten years to bring one out-68,78,87 etc) I did a lot of research on it and the synergy of how numerology works in…lets say a combination of things, not just one thing.

When I though of it, I was watching the Tele at a friends home, it was about 8pm central time, I remember it was the Puerto Rican Independence in Chicago, and every one was going crazy in the streets, but I knew I had stumbled upon something MAGIKAL, something so Linda Goodman.

During my research, I have found newspaper ads that would pertain (for example, to the number 4 and 8, both having a relationship)to a certain number or two. For example, while doing research on a certain personality and their whereabouts, I came across a article written about a misfortune that came upon that person. The date of the article rounded down to a 4 or 8, I can’t recall which. When the article started it stated, “so and so” was at “so and so” place at “date and time”. This time, when you added the date and time that the incident happened, it came to a 4 or 8. The person’s name came to a 8, his licensee plate letters and numbers came to a 4, the location he was at a 4, the other two people in the article, their names came to a 4 and 8. This was great for me, I stumbled across it looking for research, and BAAM! There it was in front of my face.
