MzMandi, welcome to Lindaland! I am from Pennsylvania, too.Why don't you have a peek in our Lexigram forum for examples? I'm deducing that you have not read Linda's book "Star Signs," which I would highly recommend. Lexigrams are magic with words and letters. There are rules, which most of us follow. There are a few here at LL who do not believe in Linda's rules, though I am not one of them. I find the rules must be followed for true Lexigrams, but you can read through this information and decide for yourself. If, after you've looked at the Lexi forum, you need more help, then let me know. Good luck and enjoy your time here. ------------------ The less I seek my source for some definitive, the closer I am to fine. -Indigo Girls

yeah....I am one of those. You have the letters..USE them. Do NOT add or remove ANY letters from your word/name/whatever you are lexigramming. That is the logical way, not LG's. It is AFTER you get your words found(by any means you wish, they are only words until a lex is created, and it is foolish for anyone to think that their vocabulary is so perfect/extensive, that they do not require a dictionary or whatever)...it is only then that the magic of creating your Lexigram begins! The Spiral Game I would not play by LG's rules, far too limiting. ALL words in my lexigramming are ALL found from the letters in the source phrases. My reading of Star Signs, I took it as LG did not care how one got the words, as long as they came from the word/name whatever, to be lexigrammed. It was the Lexigram created that was of importance. My issue is with the adding of letters to force a lexigram to say something false. And the removal of letters under a false assumption that one could get most any word. The OED has like a million words! No way would one ever get close to "all the words"! Additionally Lexigrams can be done in ANY language, not just English! And Linda made several errors in her Lexigrams. Some rather serious ones. I wonder why she did not fix them? To test us? Or simple error? Well anyhow... Have fun! IP: Logged |

Welcome! ------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen.
