A very warm welcome to you Clare! Its good to see you here.Thankyou for sharing the experience you had and for describing what her room felt like. It is something I have dreamed about doing, especially whilst sharing her spirit as I read her wonderful books. I am going to go there one day. I may have a long way to travel, but I am going to- and I want everybody to be there! What will it be like- so many enlightened people in one room?! Wow IP: Logged |

Oh my! I had a 'time' with my post and your replies. I looked for the longest time and gave up on posting it; seems it didn't show. I'm glad I decided to try again today.I have the Dollar Inn pictures up on the web, but some people have a hard time figuring out how to get to it and start the slide show. I'll leave the link and if you have trouble with it, I'll put it elsewhere. There is sound/music to go with this slideshow, so turn your speakers on, please. I'm hoping to sneak over to the 'last house' and take a few more pictures there to share. It's on the outskirts of town and more private than the Victorian, but I haven't been in it. I believe someone else from this area is posting, and maybe they know more. (hint hint) This link is a photoshow with music. Note the crystals/jewels glued on the windows. I was told that Linda put them there because cats like how the light plays on them and the rainbows they cast. The 'naked' lady statue in the living room belonged to Linda. There are other things of hers there, but mostly the furnishings, while authentic antiques, are not hers. There are several rooms, the pink one having been Linda's. http://photoshow.comcast.net/watch/Ju7Dd7DR (You may have to copy/paste the link into your browser.) I'll check out the other 'topics' to share my other stories. Enjoy! IP: Logged |

Oh, and no, I don't live at the Dollar Inn. I live close by. Sorry if I didn't make that clearer! Goodness me. Listens to Trees: I do hope you get to visit Cripple Creek some day. The vibe will surely thrill you. I found many vibes there in the house, not all Linda's of course. It's not my usual 'area', ghosts and whatnot, but there is certainly something there. I looked over my shoulder MANY times, especially in the upstairs, right front area. I have no idea if others felt the same things I did; would be interesting to know! IP: Logged |

My husband and I have it on our short list to visit Linda's house. We like to take driving trips. I think we might be done taking trips this year, but we definitely want to go to Linda's House in Cripple Creek. Also, if anyone is in Nebraska City, NE I would highly recommend the Whispering Pines. http://www.bbwhisperingpines.com/ I have a GREAT story about the Whispering Pines ... it's where me and my hubby eloped!

------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." Lewis Carroll IP: Logged |
