Hi Knowflakes

I'm new here, have been interested in astrology for some time and was introduced to LG's books 6-7 years ago but only now have I purchased copies of them all for myS-elf and now diggin deeper and learning more.

I found this site as I was looking to find out what happened to Sally. Turns out to be another of lifes mysteries (sigh). But glad of my enquiring mind, which led me here. And happy to know that Linda has touched so many other people worldwide.

I'm hoping someone can enlighten me regarding my own chart.

I've done a few charts for myself, on various websites, but one in particular, which gives interpretations for the house each planet is in, tells me my Sun is in my 1st house! Now, when I did my chart myself, I come up with my Sun being in my second house as my ascendant is Scorpio, and the ascendant is meant to be the first house, Sun is in Sag which would be my 2nd house. I'm wondering if this is to do with the degree of which my ascendant in Scorpio is at (it's 28 deg). Would Scorpio still be in my first house then or would it be my twelfth?

The reason I need clarification on this is that, as I've been reading through the threads here, I came across some info about certain afflictions in a chart, concerning Gemini and Pisces with the ascendant, being responsible for a person contracting lung cancer.

I am a smoker and really would love to be able to give up. I gave up for 6 months last year but back on them again with a vengence. I have such a terrible smokers cough, so I can actually feel the damage they are doing.

Another concern is, if I do have the affliction in my chart that says I will develop lung cancer, will it actually matter if I give up or not? Will I still get cancer if I give up? I ask because there was a post by someone whose Mum had these afflictions in her chart and died from lung cancer 10-15 years after giving up smoking!

Hope someone can shed some light on this for me. Would be much appreciated.

My D.O.B. is 7th Dec 1971 at 7.10am GMT

Thanks in advance.

Ooops. I've posted this in the wrong topic board.

I was reading in this topic when I clicked on new topic, maybe imagining it would automatically send it to the correct category somehow.

How can I post to the right place without having to type it all again? Help!
