Hello all, I have read Linda's book Star Signs off and on for the past 12 yrs. I am wondering how long she suffered from diabetes. Also I am wondering why it did not go away if she was eating the 5/5/5 yr diet change.

From what I've read here, Linda found it hard to stick to her own diet.

Welcome Liezell!!!I wonder how long she had it too. My Grandmother had it for a long time. I know she took her medication, though diet...forget about it!!! Older people and their sweets, lol. My grandmother had to have her pop. I wonder if Linda did too.

Eventually with Medication it broke her down. though my grandmother passed of a cancer, I truly believe the drugs from diabetes contributed to this also.

In the end her bodily functions just shut down. If Linda didnt follow medication standards and such, she might have followed the same path...something to look into.

I think she lost her will to live.

Randall, I think you may well be right. My feeling from Linda is that her heart was left and broken just all too many times. Perhaps I am a wee bit correct, I don't know. It's how I feel though. Beyond that, it's so terribly tiring to keep up a battle day after day. Diabetes can be hard, and it was ravaging Linda's body. My understanding is that she believed in her methods more than medical science. In the end, these bodies we have just can't keep going and it's time for the change.

Just some thoughts on a quiet day...

Maybe Linda simply left the earthplane when she was supposed to...as she herself may have prearranged before her birth. She certainly left all of us with a wealth of "secrets" to explore... Perhaps she had important work to do, and allowed herself to leave us. I remember feeling shocked at how she "died"....Then, I realized, that she may have chosen that particular "exit" for reasons we cannot know. I'm also disturbed that she never was reunited with her daughter, Sally.... Could it be that they are together now?

Vegetarianism is not always the best option for diabetics. Bingeing on sugar can mask a need for meat protein.

I agree with maklhouf. Being a vegetarian and diabetic is very hard. I had to follow a veggie diabetic diet when I was pg with my first son. Stress also plays a big part of keeping blood sugar in check. Maybe she just had her limits.
