Thanks to fair warning by Thorshammer and Starry Eyes, on FFA, I was reminded and just watched the show "If Walls Could talk" on HGTV all about Linda's house in Cripple Creek and what the new owners found inside....(sorry I couldn't have recorded it)....*Sigh*Pretty intresting but much too short..... Hope some others here got to see it too... A beautiful black velvet dress was found (classic so it will never go out of style[I could just see Linda wearing it])....and it just fit the current lady of the house.... They also found some jewelry (I particularly noticed a beautiful turquoise necklace)....and the current owners were also impressed with an address book found with names in it like Tony Bennet, Wayne Newton, (for those who recorded it, you can fill in the blanks, cuz I can't remember them all now...*sigh*) Oh yes, they also found the complete manuscript for SUN SIGNS..... Anyway, I'm so glad I got to see it.... Thanks Thorshammer and Starry Eyes!!!!!

Hi Rainbow & Nephthys I missed the show too. Where did they find the manuscript, jewelery and dress? Is the manuscript the one Maria has? I`m always curious when something so nice is left behind. Kind of like a time capsule. Thanks for sharing!! Love, ------------------ ~ What we do for ourselves dies with us. What we do for others and the world is immortal"~ - George Eliot IP: Logged |

Hello... I just saw this "If Walls Could Talk" show on HGTV again this evening. AND, if I had known in advance what was coming on, I definitely would have recorded it. I was really only half watching, until I heard them say the home was owned previously by a world reknowned astrologer who had "just vanished". I thought that was very odd. The house was purchased by the new owners as is, lock, stock, and barrel, just as Linda had left it... clothes still hanging in the closets, jewelry, all her personal items, just like she was still living there. The manuscripts I believe, were found in the safe along with the address book with addresses of many famous persons and movie stars... AND files and files of astrology info, charts, etc. Awesome... I mean what a treasure for someone in the world of astrology, however the new owners had no interest in any of it. They did show the black velvet dress that had hung in a closet, and interestingly the new owner said it fit her perfectly... I guess I'm stunned because I did not know that Linda had passed away. Can anyone tell me when, and where she died...? It was apparently not in the vicinity of her home, or they wouldn't have stated twice at least, if not more, that the owner had simply "vanished." That is just so odd... I do wish I'd known in advance it was going to be on, and I definitely would have recorded it... simply to re-watch it and gather what I missed the first time. Any light anyone can shed on this would be very much appreciated. Thanks much!------------------ O'Irish~~CancerSun/ScorpioMoon The Freckled Frog Quilting IP: Logged | |
