Linda was married to Sam while she went to Colorado to write her happiness poem. Where and when did Robert Brewer come along? Maybe I missed something...IP: Logged |

Did you read Gooberz?------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." Lewis Carroll IP: Logged |

Yes I did but it doesn't mention Sam, so I don't know who came first or how because if she didn't want to write about Sam because he was still alive then how did she meet Robert Brewer while she was still with Sam?IP: Logged |

My intuition tells me she left Sam and the other kids out of "Gooberz" out of respect for their privacy. I don't know any details about whether Robert Brewer was an "affair" but Sam was a saintly, patient man. I can't imagine what it was like for him. But he loved her fiercely, and she him. Perhaps Linda talked mostly of Brewer becuase that illustrated what she wanted the book to be about - Twin Souls, soul pieces, reincarnation, etc. Peace and Love, (meow) LMB IP: Logged |
