Can u tell me a little about Mary Summer Rain? (B.T.W. I am a newbie here.) When I moved in with my signifigant other over a year ago, I was carrying around a copy of Star Signs with me everywhere that I went.. and had been doing so for months, from the moment that I opened her book, I was completely intrigued with her and the way that she made me feel like I was a friend of hers before I even finished the book's intoduction. Ironically though, I had a hard time (oh what's the word) comprehending; (I assume would be appropriate,) just what she was saying in the book. I am from a very small town in the NC mnts. and was raised in a way that would never condone anything that wasn't in the Holy Bible; so, it was hard for me to open my mind up to the great wisdom that I now know Ms. Linda had/has. I knew deep down inside to keep reading and I would get the message and boy did I! Well, you may be asking yourself what this has to do with your mentioning Mary Summer Rain, well, at the time as I said b4 I had just moved in with my bf Wayne, the weird thing is that he had a copy of Mary Summer Rain's book, I beleive the one with a yellow jacket it maybe called Pheonix Rising (I'm not sure.)
I'm embarrassed to admit that neither one of us reads very much and in his case I'm sure he hasn't read since high school.. Well when I finally did read and comprehend Star Signs, it set a fire under me. A passion to read and research all the possibilities that I had never even dreamed existed. Sadly, I never even gave reading Mary Summer Rain's book another thought and just took my boyfriend's word for it when he said that the book was "weird" I hadn't thought about the book at all or even cosidered reading it.. but now I see that I have remained close minded still.. well I ask you please not to let this first impression that I am giving of deter you from conversing with me because I find your posts on here incredibly, thoughtful and I hope to one day have a true understanding of the things that Ms. Linda was all about, and now I'm gonna hunt up that Mary Summer Rain book from out of our closet.. Can I ask: (what's it about?) thanks 4 the inspiration.. sorry to ramble & glad to be a part of this site.

Welcome to LL!

I think perhaps Thorshammer or Juniperb might be the ones to ask about Mary Summer Rain.

I have read the first two books by her, and I have others I mean to read, but things come up in life and I haven't got round to reading them yet.......

I think there are two possibilities.
May Rain is either writing about conversations, etc which really took place (with "No-eyes") or she is channeling her Higher Self. I'm not sure.
Anybody else know?

The prophecies in Pheonix Rising.....

I don't believe that our fate, by any means is set in stone.

I was looking at a book I read a few years ago called "A Free Spirit" by Betty Shine, who is an animal healer.

Anyway, I got to this chapter she'd written about palmistry, and she was saying that a negative seen in the lines can be turned into a positive.
I found this very inspirational.
It feels true.

We are all connected. I do believe in a "Unified Field" of consciousness, that each person can make a difference. Ever heard of the 100 monkeys phenomenon?

Whatever happens in this life, there is really nothing to fear as the soul cannot die. We are infinite!

All that really matters is love.

We cannot awaken others; we can only plant "seeds".
When a person desires freedom, this is all that is required. "Seek and you shall find".

Authors who write beautiful books like Mary Summer Rain can inspire us, but ultimately the truth can only be found within- and this also means not accepting limitations placed on us by others and their ideas......
I feel we have no limitations, except the ones we place on ourselves.
(I was thinking about this last night before going to sleep, and I felt something lift. Now the real challenge is applying these insights to daily life).
