The world is full of willing people, some willing to work, the rest willing to let them.Tesla was willing to work and the rest did their best to stop him. ------------------ "We do not see things as they are, we see things as we are" - ahaaa... IP: Logged |

“The desire that guides me in all I do is the desire to harness the forces of nature to the service of mankind.” ~Nikola Tesla “Radio Power Will Revolutionize the World” (Modern Mechanix & Inventions, July, 1934)“Tesla was one of the greatest geniuses to come out of the earth. He did things they said could't be done... He was the real father of radio, not Marconi. A U.S. Supreme Court patent decision, the year after Tesla's death, awarded him that honor.” ~Ken Strickfaden “Suffice it to say that, were we to seize and to eliminate from our industrial world the results of Mr. Tesla's work, the wheels of industry would cease to turn, our electric cars and trains would stop, our towns would be dark, our mills would be dead and idle. Yea, so far reaching is this work, that it has become the warp and woof of industry... His name marks an epoch in the advance of electrical science. From that work has sprung a revolution in the electrical art.” ~Bernard A. Behrend “Nikola Tesla Receives Edison Medal” (Electrical Review & Western Electrician, May 26, 1917) “The mind is sharper and keener in seclusion and uninterrupted solitude. No big laboratory is needed in which to think. Originality thrives in seclusion free of outside influences beating upon us to cripple the creative mind. Be alone, that is the secret of invention; be alone, that is when ideas are born.” ~Nikola Tesla “If you only knew the magnificence of the 3, 6 and 9, then you would have the key to the universe.” ~Nikola Tesla “Of all the frictional resistances, the one that most retards human movement is ignorance, what Buddha called 'the greatest evil in the world.' The friction which results from ignorance can be reduced only by the spread of knowledge and the unification of the heterogeneous elements of humanity. No effort could be better spent.” ~Nikola Tesla “The Problem of Increasing Human Energy” (The Century Magazine, June, 1900) “I have hundreds of inventions which I could not take the patents of, on account of my misfortune.” ~Nikola Tesla “Let the future tell the truth, and evaluate each one according to his work and accomplishments. The present is theirs; the future, for which I have really worked, is mine.” ~Nikola Tesla IP: Logged |

We can thank the heavens (and then apologize to it for how he died alone despite what he did) for Tesla every July 10th. IP: Logged |

Maybe we can honor him 2 days in a row:NIKOLA TESLA. The World's Greatest Inventor. Born midnight July 9 - July 10, 1856 and died midnight Jan. 7-8, 1943. (www.nikola-tesla.com/Tesla.htm) I guess the time and date could vary depending on the clcok's precise timekeeping at his birth. I find it fascinating that the "time" he came into this world in 1856, he left it at the same "time" in 1943. A humble man... eternal IP: Logged |
