To those who knew Linda, What is the most poignant or memorable thing she said to you.To the rest of us who only knew her from her works, what has impacted you the most. For me there are two things that go hand in hand - Star Signs(the entire book) & Gooberz. I was transformed with each of these. ------------------ "Once in a while you can get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right" Robert Hunter IP: Logged |

The most memorable thing Linda said to me was of a very private nature... however, in saying that she brought about a clarity and understanding that was profound and healing... as I"m sure many of the fans and readers have experienced being educated by her vast knowledge... understanding... healing.... the most memorable! okay, okay, impatient elf...lol. I never met Linda, so I can't go there.I think the biggest impact was also from 'Star Signs' and 'Gooberz'. I re-read SS during a terrible time when I was broken up with my child's father. I was pregnant. I cannot quote you the exact text of what she said, but I can vividly remember sitting on my Mom's back porch swing reading it. It had to do with getting someone back, and using your mind to project your thoughts onto to them, but in a positive way. Anyone know what the heck I'm talking about???? Apparently all along I was just projecting my miserable thoughts and that was getting me nothing but misery. So, with nothing to lose, I thought "what the heck, I can give it a try." Within THAT week, I saw him drive by my house twice. He didn't stop, but my house was way off the beaten track at that time. And probably, ten or so days later, he did stop. He was with a friend, and they made some sort of excuse for being in the area. Anyway, I gave them "the grand tour" since my Mom had just purchased the house. I was positive and upbeat. Didn't cry, whine, or lament about my condition and our unresolved relationship issues. He came back shortly after. And so, I am a believer, not always a practiser (sp?) cause I am not any where near perfect. But when a problem gets REALLY out of hand, I remember that experience. I just start imagining MY results in MY world the way I want them, and most times, it works. and Gooberz,,,,geez, what do you say about a book like that??? If you read that and didn't feel moved, I dunno, maybe somethins up witcha!!! Just kidding. kinda. IP: Logged |

The quote from Gooberz on the main Lindaland page.------------------ "The earth is not given to us by our mothers and our fathers, it is borrowed from our children." IP: Logged |

And, of course, Gooberz as a whole.------------------ "The earth is not given to us by our mothers and our fathers, it is borrowed from our children." IP: Logged |

I did read Linda Goodman's Star signs and other all books except for Venus Trines in Midnight and Gooberz but am still looking for these books since they are not available in our local stores.Nevertheless I must admit that her book Linda Goodman's Star signs helped me a lot to improve my life spiritually and I could comprehend my karma lot more easily.IP: Logged |

I find it so fascinating that Linda's works, her words, feel alive. What I mean is that whether I am currently reading or remembering what I read, it is as if what she said is not just in my mind but within my whle being, living, breathing.------------------ "Start by doing what is necessary, then what is possible, then suddenly you are doing the impossible” Saint Francis of Assisi "Once in a while you can get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right" Robert Hunter IP: Logged |

*bump*------------------ "All deaths are suicides, do you realize that? Every single one. The only distinction is that, with some people, suicide is a subconscious choice, and with others it's a conscious choice. Otherwise, those who commit suicide and those who succumb to accident, illness or "old age," die for exactly the same reason: belief in the inevitability of death." Linda Goodman IP: Logged |
