Right before the server problems, I posted this one too, Randall. Serving up smore blood, sweat and tears...yeehaw. AND WHEN I DIE - BLOOD, SWEAT & TEARS
I'm not scared of dying, And I don't really care. If it's peace you find in dying, Well then let the time be near. If it's peace you find in dying, And if dying time is here, Just bundle up my coffin 'Cause it's cold way down there. I hear that its cold way down their. Yeah, crazy cold way down their. And when I die, and when I'm gone, There'll be one child born In this world to carry on, to carry on. Now troubles are many, they're as deep as a well. I can swear there ain't no heaven but I pray there ain't no hell. Swear there ain't no heaven and I pray there ain't no hell, But I'll never know by living, only my dying will tell. Yes only my dying will tell. Yeah, only my dying will tell. And when I die, and when I'm gone, There'll be one child born In this world to carry on, to carry on. Give me my freedom for as long as I be. All I ask of living is to have no chains on me. All I ask of living is to have no chains on me, And all I ask of dying is to go naturally. Oh I want to go naturally. Here I go, Hey Hey! Here comes the devil, Right Behind. Look out children, Here he comes! Here he comes! Hey... Don't want to go by the devil. Don't want to go by demon. Don't want to go by Satan, Don't want to die uneasy. Just let me go naturally. and when I die, When I'm dead, dead and gone, There'll be one child born in our world to carry on, To carry on. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uu5Drfd1NRE IP: Logged |

Which song? And When I Die? Did you watch the video? No, it is definitely not a sad song. With the cute sound effects, the song is actually pretty silly! Blood, Sweat & Tears just played here last Friday night. I wish I could have been there. I was trying to think of a way to clone myself so I could go. My sister and I already had tickets to see The Dave Mason Band (Traffic) and after that was taking my sister (she's an Aries) to Prince's place for pancake breakfast, which was a whole lot of rock-n-rollin' for one night...especially because I've been a bit under the weather lately...ughh...I just had this feeling it was going to get worse before getting better...I could barely get out of bed yesterday. I feel a little perkier today though...but, mostly bored of not feeling well. ____________________________________________________________ Got the Wings of Heaven on my Shoes. I'm a dancin' man and I just can't lose. You know it's all right. It's OK. I'll live to see another day. We can try to understand The New York Times' effect on man. It's funny! You should watch it. I promise it's not a sad song-- Blood, Sweat & Tears gave it the "Spike Jones treatment". quote: Lindley Armstrong "Spike" Jones (December 14, 1911 – May 1, 1965) was an American musician and bandleader specializing in performing satirical arrangements of popular songs. Ballads and classical works receiving the Jones treatment would be punctuated with gunshots, whistles, cowbells, and outlandish vocals. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spike_Jones
Now me and my mate were back at the shack, we had Spike Jones on the box She said, "I can't take the way he sings, but I love to hear him talk" Now that just gave my heart a throb, to the bottom of my Feet And I swore and I took another pull, my Bessie can't be beat Up on Cripple Creek she sends me If I Spring a Leak she mends me I don't have to speak, she defends me A Drunkard's Dream if I ever did see one Up on Cripple Creek - The Band IP: Logged |

It's kind of like that Christmas song, Sleigh Ride. How could you not like a song with the clipity-clop of horse hooves? quote:
There's a Christmas party at the home of Farmer Gray It'll be the perfect ending to a perfect day We'll be singing the songs we love to sing without a single stop By the fireplace as we watch the chestnuts pop Pop, pop, popThere's a happy feeling nothing in the world can buy As we pass around the coffee and the pumpkin pie It'll nearly be like a picture print from Currier and Ives These things are the wonderful things we'll remember throughout our lives Just hear those sleigh bells ring-a-ling Ring-ting-tingling too Come on it's lovely weather For a sleigh ride together with you Giddy-yup, giddy-yup, giddy-yup, let's go Let's look at the show We're riding in a wonderland of snow Giddy-yup, giddy-yup, giddy-yup, it's grand Just holding your hand We're riding along with a song in a wintery fairyland (fade with effects) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OATi34PKNPw

Headlines for Highlanders... quote:
HH Penor Rinpoche's reincarnation found, enthronement in 2014DHARAMSALA, December 6 - Five years after the passing away of His Eminence Penor Rinpoche, former head of the oldest school of Tibetan Buddhism, his reincarnation has been found, his monastery Namdrol Ling said in a statement on Thursday. Palyul’s seniormost lama in Tibet, Tulku Thubten Zangpo Rinpoche, found the reincarnation at Leten Tramo Drag or Dung Lung Tramo Drag, a sacred location near Tibet’s capital, Lhasa, based on a “prophecy letter” sent by the 100-year-old yogi Jadrel Rinpoche. The statement, however, did not give more details. Palyul’s current throne-holder, Kyabje Karma Kuchen Rinpoche, has already set out on the journey to formally greet the new reincarnation. A traditional enthronement ceremony of Penor Rinpoche’s yangsi (reincarnation), investing him as Palyul’s 12th Throneholder, will take place at Palyul Monastery in Tibet on July 31, 2014, the holy day marking the time of the Buddha’s first teaching after his enlightenment. Penor Rinpoche held the position of the head of Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism until his health deteriorated leading to his demise on March 27, 2009. Kyabjé Drubwang Pema Norbu Rinpoche was born in 1932 in Powo region of Kham, Eastern Tibet. Rinpoche became the 11th throne-holder of Palyul, one of six “mother monasteries” in Tibet’s oldest Buddhist tradition, known as the Nyingma. He established Namdroling Monastery in Bylakuppe Tibetan settlement in 1963 with only a handful of monks.

China arrests 2 Tibetan singers from DriruDHARAMSHALA, December 6 - Chinese authorities in Tibet's Driru County have arrested two Tibetan singers in November for producing music albums that called for Tibetan unity and preservation of the Tibetan language, a Tibetan source said. Gonpo Tenzin, 25, from Septhra village (spelled as pronounced), Shagchu township in Driru County, was arrested on Nov. 30 from Lhasa, Tibet's capital city. Gonpo has sung several songs calling for unity among Tibetans and preservation of the Tibetan language and cultural tradition. Among his albums, "where is the Tibetan losar in Tibet" became the most popular in Tibet. Tsekar Thinlay, a 22 year old Tibetan singer, was arrested around November 20 while he was at a government run driving school and license issuing office in Nagchu. The source added that his album, "Ring of Unity", which called for unity among Tibetans was well received by listeners. He is accused of mobilizing anti-government sentiments among Tibetan listeners of his music. There is no further information about the two's whereabouts amid strict monitoring and surveillance by Chinese authorities in Driru that has seen several protests and crackdown since September 2013. Sources also said that the county law enforcement authorities have released a list of Tibetans who have studied outside Nagchu prefecture to be called for Thought Education Campaign. The Tibetans who had been released since September will also be subjected to the Thought Education Campaign. Since widespread protests against China across Tibet in 2008, Tibetan singers, writers, and artistes promoting Tibetan national identity and culture have become easy targets of China’s ongoing crackdown on intellectuals.
Don't you wonder what exactly would happen at a Thought Education Campaign?

quote: NBC cameraman with Ebola is 'reincarnation of Tibetan teacher'-- NBC camerman Ashoka MukpoPosted on 10/3/2014, 10:03:03 AM by dennisw NBC cameraman with Ebola is 'reincarnation of Tibetan teacher' whose English society girl mother married Buddhist guru when she was 16. He was working for NBC's chief medical correspondent Dr. Nancy Snyderman in Liberia. His father, Mitchell Levy, says doctors are optimistic about his prognosis. Ashoka's mother, Diana Mukpo, married a Tibetan Buddhist lama at 16. The lama, Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche, adopted Ashoka as a young child Trungpa identified Ashoka as a 'tulku', a reincarnation of a Tibetan teacher. Dr Snyderman and her crew have quarantined themselves for 21 days over fears they they might have contracted Ebola, as well. The cameraman who became the fourth American to contract the deadly Ebola virus is the adopted son of a Buddhist guru who married his mother, a British upper-class woman, when she was just 16. Ashoka Mukpo, 33, from Providence, Rhode Island, was infected with Ebola while working for NBC in Liberia's capital Monrovia. Mukpo is recognized as a 'tulku' in Tibetan Buddhist culture, a reincarnation of a religious teacher, and his adoptive father worked as a mediation guru for David Bowie in the 1960s. Mukpo comes from a colourful family. His British mother, Lady Diana Judith Mukpo, was born Diana Pybus, the daughter of a wealthy barrister. She attended Benenden School, an all-girl's boarding school in Kent where she is thought to have been a contemporary of Princess Anne and Baroness Manningham-Buller, former Director General of MI5.

Not to long ago I had a dream... I was in a large room in what seemed to be an old cathedral and suddenly H.H. the Dalai Lama ran into the room. He had a slight hint of mischievousness in his eyes as he turned to me, smiled, and with a laughing voice he asked, "Do you want to play hide-and-seek?" And so, we played hide-and-seek. The dream was quite vivid and felt so tangible. It was a good dream. We were both very happy and laughing. Strange to me now, although it wasn't strange to me in the dream... ...the Dalai Lama was probably about a year younger than my son, but I was like I am, an adult. ------------------ Got the Wings of Heaven on my Shoes.
