I have this brain fart in which I still keep calling poor Scarlet by her predecessors name--Brassy.

Despite my mom's insistent claim that they are two totally different breeds of dogs, Scarlet looks and acts just like clone of my mom's old dog, Brassy.

I asked, "Well, how exactly do you distinguish between the two breeds?" My mom said that Scarlet's breed has a silkier, softer coat.
