I'm just curious . . . has anyone here actually been greeted by someone presenting oranges and hyacinths?------------------ "The reason why birds can fly and man cannot is simply that they have perfect faith; for to have faith is to have wings." ~JM Barrie IP: Logged |

Very good question But how many people are privy to the inside story? How often would one of us find eachother in our everyday lives? This is sort of a safehaven, a refuge where, speaking for myself, I can escape the world and be myself and have peace. To actually find or run into someone even very familiar with Linda's books and this website would be a bloody miracle! And I'd probably faint with surprise or feel my face go sheet white(!) Just how many of 'us' are out there? On this common ground where we find...common ground with one another? Oranges and hyacinths....NOT YET!!! IP: Logged |

Grasshopper~ When I first found this website, I was greeted by the *Oranges and Hyacinths* forum title Does that count? Who do you know, if anyone, that keeps oranges and hyacinths at/in their homes? I do I am blessed with a couple of little orange trees, and I planted some pink hyacinths -still hoping they come up ~Princess ------------------ ~We can try many ways to get rid of the darkness, but none is as effective as simply increasing the light.~ UnkNown IP: Logged |

I was thinking I was going to start that very practice, Princess. I never know when I'll run into another immortal, and I'd hate to not be prepared. And looking at it another way, everyone certainly has the capacity to it, and it really does make a nice house-warming gift if the recipient "gets" it or not. Grasshopper, Perfect idea. Someone has to have the courage to look 'dumb' if you just get a strange look. And if they know.......IP: Logged |

I attempted to give these once in a farewell, but there were no hyacinths to be found. But then they are supposed to be given in a greeting, right? Maybe that is why I could not find them! IP: Logged |

I receive them occasionally..... only because everybody knows I love Hyacinths. I'm crazy about them! I plant bulbs indoors in the summer so I can have them in the winter. I love having 3 or 4 of them in my apartment so I can smell them every day ChandraIP: Logged |
