Strange. It's plentiful here. You might have to try the Net. I haven't checked yet, but try www.vitaminplanet.com ------------------ "It is never too late to become what you might have been." George Eliot IP: Logged |

PABA is Paraminobenzoic Acid....found at most health food stores or on health food sites on the net.....silly me!! I guess you already know this fact!!! Try GNC on the computer, too. ------------------ Hugs,LTD ~~The struggle keeps us young~~Daring to make mistakes and knowing there are none.~~DGMIP: Logged |

Hi guys - regarding PABA, does anyone know the benefits of it again please? Has anyone been taking it and noted a beneficial difference? ------------------ "Number is the Word but is not utterance; it is wave and light, though no one sees it; it is rhythm and music, though no one hears it. Hey wildflwrs ~ you're right yes, I believe they do put PABA in sunscreen - blocks UVB rays I think. I'm thinking of getting some but was curious as to how beneficial it is. I may pop into the health store at lunch and see what they say about it ------------------ "Number is the Word but is not utterance; it is wave and light, though no one sees it; it is rhythm and music, though no one hears it. Wouldn't astaxanthin work like PABA...that it is a super antioxidant and an internal sunscreen? I don't do sunscreen...doesn't prevent anything except cause Cancer. Have we not notice the proliferation of Cancer even with the massive push to use sunscreen? The sun is good. It is how we get our Vitamin-D. But if we want to prevent from getting burn, astaxanthin works. I tested it out myself. I was out in the sun for 8 to 10 hours in the sun and I get a little red, but not burn..next day it just turns tan. However, if I didn't I would burn badly. I also had a hard time finding PABA...but thanks for the sites suggestion.IP: Logged |

This PABA is taken internally. It's part of the B complex. Any health food store can order it from NOW Foods.IP: Logged |

So I should start a new one and not answer an old string? I don't know some of the proper etiquettes here.IP: Logged |

I saw somewhere that PABA only works if you take it internally so would not be much use in sunscreen. But sunscreens would not cause cancer if all they contain is PABA------------------ To live outside the law you must be honest. Bob Dylan IP: Logged |
