Has any-body ever experienced astral traveling, I mean consciously being aware of it? I'm very interested to be able to do that all the time, but it only happened to me once and 'lasted' maybe a minute or so. I saw myself flying and realised that I was aware, and than started to be afraid not to lose control, and the next moment I was awake in my bed disappointed that it was over. And, I don't know if that has anything to do with it, but that night I tried marihuana for the first time in my life (hey it was my birthday!!!) and that's another story, I mean how it affected me Does anyone think that that was the reason wahy it happened? Later I was reading Alan Oken's Complete Astrology book, and one aspect in my chart which he calls "The Hallucinator" he states that "drugs, alchohol and most aspects of mystisism should be carefully avoided unless this aspect is modified by others" Also, what do you guys think of marihuana? I don't know what to think because there is so much controversy going on about it, I even found a book called "Benefits of marihuana physical, mental and spiritual" or something like that, and can you really call it a drug? Even if smoking it all the time is harmfull, is once in a while all that bad? Love & Peace to you ALL

Oh how I wish I could astral project. I do believe that drugs have something to do with it because drugs seperate you from your 'normal' way of thinking and thus makes you more open to 'other' things. As far as drugs being bad, that can be tricky. Of course any substance that does not nuture your body is harmful but is it really? I would say yes, to be on the safe side.....but look into other areas....like certain types of eye disorders. It can ease it for some people....but then again what is a disease but an imbalance. To make a long story short, we all have vices that help us "cope" with reality.....the key is to not need those vices and rise above.IP: Logged |

Well, actually, it happened twice since then, and I haven't smoked for a while , so it couldn't have been because of the high! I just hope that I can learn to do it all the time , it just feels fantastic!

Astral projection is not something I am very good at. Well, I did begin to feel a bit disconnected from my physical body this one time .... and then the blasted phone rang. Now I can say I l<now what a tape measure feels lil<e when it slings bacl< into it's casing. It's good that you ask that question about the mirror ice Mists, because I heard that we shoud not keep a mirror in the bedroom, While the astral is traveling back into the body, if it accidentally looks into the mirror it get's some kind of a shock.I don't know how true that is, but I should try to remove at least one mirror from my bedroom (I think three is too much ) I think we are not able to do Astral Travelling because we don't believe that we can. Once, when I tried to do it I was also in the process of getting out of my body, and then I start doubting myself and that astral gets right back in Hey, Grasshopper, I like your signature, and it is perfectly suited for this topic: "The reason why birds can fly and man cannot, is simply that thay have perfect faith;for to have faith is to have wings " ------------------ Sorry looks down, Worry looks around, Faith looks up. hey grasshopper i like your analogyhow come you get a shock when you look into the mirror?? i've always wanted to see my astral reflection but it just slip my mind.....hehe chocoholic why do you have 3 mirrors in your room? hey Randall, the trick to astral is you gotta do it without trying i.e. do it as though you already know how to...it helps by focusing all your attention on your third eye, this way your whole body would go numb and the only sensation you get will be from the third eye, when you achieve that just think "i want to leave my body", just before you actually leave the body, you can hear a whizzing sound, this sound comes the moment your astral head is detaching from the physical head.....i hope this helps you, and relax cause if you don't, you'll get stuck halfway like me IP: Logged |

i've had an experience a time or two and i guess it was an astral one after reading these...they always happen while listening to a particular cd that i have, this cd is by a great artist named Regan, and her assistant is now on this board, AmberVon Schriek..anyway, Regan's music is trance like in ways and once i was thinking about someone and being in their home...i also was listening to this cd, and it came to a particular song Oblivion II, and i became very still and quiet..i was sitting on my bed Indian style and began to rock back and forth.. i then began getting tingly in my arms, my head began to get numb, the hairs on my arms and neck stood straight up...as if there was this massive eletrical force around me--i thought if i open my eyes the hair on top of my head will standing straight up on end!! during this process, my brain began to "travel"...it was taking me out of my house, an i was suddenly looking DOWN at the ROOF! I then began "flying" in the sky, with the black backdrop of stars just above me...I ended up being at his house, and I actually went inside... From here, I saw him, on the couch, watching tv, but looking so sad...I flew past him once, it created an air flow motion because he moved his hands in front of his face and looked around a bit....i went into his kitchen --now all of this was in very fast motion as well..but, again i went back over to him on the couch and this time i whispered his name... he then turned, and looked from side to side slowly, but by this time i was already coming out of the house... when this whole ordeal stopped, i was very tired...i was weak, like i had been sick or something you know? it was absolutely unreal... i tried doing it a few more times, but i felt as if i was being weighted down, by water or something, my body felt heavy and it wouldn't do it... i have not tried in a long time, but last week, something came over me at work so, and it began happening...i actually went to his workplace and saw him, looking at my name on his buddy list on aim...at that very moment, he sent me an instant message... it is sortof spooky...but fantastic at the same time... and there are no drugs involved. i don't do drugs of any kind like illegal stuff...i mean, i take motrin etc..but nothing like pot or coke or anything...so...my body was cleane as a whistle both times.. Fajita!! Let me point you in the right direction for Regan's cd!!this is the site that I purchased mine from ...it came fairly quickly in the mail and was autographed to me! Here you can download some of the mp3s...the night of my astral movement was when I had just listened to Oblivion 1st movement, and when the 2nd movement began, my body took flight...it was the 2nd movement that moved me forward, the 1st was preparing me...but all the songs are terrific!! AND if you scroll to the bottom of the page, I have written a review of the cd that CDBABY posted! http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/highpriestess Please check out Regan's website as well! http://www.the-high-priestess.com/index.php?page=main IP: Logged |

I can't see that there's any real difference between astral travelling and dreaming. I think it's all the same. As for marijuana it grows on the Earth therefore it belongs to all of us. I'm a little put off by attitudes of people who look down their noses at those who "get HIGH" but go to their church and sing Glory to God in the "HIGHest"! I wonder they don't make the connection. But that's just me. C&D
