I found this site: www.geocities.com/earthchakras/immortality There's more if you click on 'Physical Immortality' at the bottom of the page. What do you think? Most of it rings true for me. Some of it doesn't make sense to me, yet.

Excellent link Sagaquari! Thank you!I think this is a great link to share with people who are interested and/or trying to understand where you are coming from with being Immortal. I've had alot of strange looks, questions, and debates since I've decided to do this and from now on I will use this link as a starting point in my case! ...I really liked the FAQ pages! IP: Logged |

There is a reading list for this site: http://www.geocities.com/earthchakras/immortality_books.html It has at least one book by Coon listed, butI'm not sure if he has written more on immortality.

You're right Randall. But he did mention it on another page. The one thing he did say about Linda didn't seem very nice, but maybe that is just my opinion. He said "This popular astrologer introduced many to the idea of physical immortality, due to the huge sales of her book, 'Star Signs'. She had the idea, but she didn't have a good grasp of the basic principles. She died at the age of 70 in 1995, after a period of ill-health due to diabetes. Whenever a prominent immortalist, such a Goodman, dies, it is always a useful practice to look for the reasons. Which immortal principles were not mastered? In her case, two things are clearly evident: 1. It is essential to be at least a vegetarian at the start of your immortal journey. Goodman told people to keep eating the flesh of dead animals for a 5 year transition period. If you have compassion for other beings, and respect the right to life for all other beings, then your body can free itself from a dependency upon the death of others quite quickly. 2. She did not respect the life of the unborn child. Every form of life is sacred. All true Immortals have taken the vow to preserve, and enhance, all life. Like him, or not, Pope John Paul II has very good ethics. Read his book, 'The Gospel of Life." That was here at the bottom of the page:www.geocities.com/earthchakras/immortals3.html I don't know where he got the idea about Linda not respecting the life of the unborn child. Is there something I'm missing? IP: Logged |

He must be talking about Linda's Lexigram of ABORTION. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark IP: Logged |

Maybe, but It doesn't make a difference. I would never have thought of pysical immortality by myself. And I might not have read any of those other books he reccommended.Linda wrote what I needed to read. She did it the fun way! IP: Logged |

For that matter, she wrote THE book on the New Age! Although only the last chapter was directly about immortality, the whole book paved the way to it. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." I think everybody has his/her own path and nobody has the right to judge the others, so I don't agree with Coon. And who is he to say what Linda wanted or didn't want regarding immortality. She chose her own way. But I haven't been on his site yet, I just got a bit angry when I read Sagaquari's post about what he had said and I had to get this off my chest. I'll go check it out now. If you have compassion for other beings, and respect the right to life for all other beings, then your body can free itself from a dependency upon the death of others quite quickly. WRONG: I tried this and got VERY VERY sick. You don't get anyone as compassionate about my animal brothers and sisters as me and I nearly killed myself. I think 2-3 years is enough time to slow down the eating meat process but for safety 5 years is a good figure.2. She did not respect the life of the unborn child. Every form of life is sacred. All true Immortals have taken the vow to preserve, and enhance, all life. Thats the biggest load of bull**** I've ever herd and I'm sorry for my attitude but my blood is boiling.......

I was able to give up eating meat straight away also with no problem, perhaps she was being very clever and building a safety margin in her words.People's bodies seem to vary, when I was trying to give up dairy products I found I just couldn't and I felt mentally 'too spaced out'or something and I also suffered side effects I could see in my nails and skin-then suddenly-I could give them up and it just felt allright, and I didn't have any more problems with my nails. The body seems to work in mysterious ways that are hard to fathom sometimes. I think you're probably right and nearly everyone could take that short-cut,but there might be a few who cant. It's the same with some of her astrology I think she often included the exceptions to the rule in her explanations.

ALL SOULS are already (and have always been) IMMORTAL. The only difference is some souls dispose of their flesh bodies (at this point in human history it happens somewhere around the illusionary 70/80 earthly years), whilst we "immortals-aware" choose NOT to dispose of our bodies. Ruby dear, I did not fully comprehend your post. IP: Logged |
