I know to become immortal, you need to truly *believe* that you are and shake off the lingering doubt and instinctive view of the inevitability of death...but it's so hard, especially when everyone is telling you, "you're not going to live forever -- you will die some day." How do you immortals do it? IP: Logged |

It ain't easy, but neither is dying. Both take a lot of effort. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark IP: Logged |

You speak in riddles, Randall -- Saggies love riddles, but this one also possesses the need to receive less elusive answers sometimes. :PIP: Logged |

You need at least one good Immortal friend, and things will be all right. At least you have the greatest immortality support group right here! ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." No other friend of mine believes it is possible to achieve immortality. They think I'm just a fanciful and delusional dreamer who is beginning to lose grips with reality. How am I to find an Immortal Friend if none of them believe in Eternal Life?IP: Logged |

>How do you immortals do it?Check out this bouncy guy: Does he doubt his bounciness? Of course not, he is just a computer program. I find this profoundly wise for some reason. >It ain't easy, but neither is dying. Both take a lot of effort. It starts out being hard to re-train yourself, but it gets easier. Pretty soon it is like being a kid again, believing you would live forever simply because the alternative never crossed your mind. Contact with society tries to pull you back down, but if you repeat a daily mantra or ritual, the superficial elements of the ritual not being important, it helps put you back on the path. Effort works against you. Effort = Resistance. Rituals about mortality tend to be repeated daily (counting wrinkles, checking weight), so why not make an immortality ritual? IP: Logged |

Freezing my toes off, actually. But the weather's actually improving rather than rapidly dropping...which is amazing, consider it's December, but I'm certainly not complaining. IP: Logged |

VA Love, there's no need for your SOUL to become immortal - it already is! It's disposing of our bodies that we must stop! And don't worry about your friends... the pattern is always the same throughout "history"... If you had offered your grand-grand-grandfather in 1880 a cell phone and told him that with that little thing he can talk to his brother who's in Australia - how would he have reacted? Same as your friends are reacting today.

Some think that the Biblical account of Ezekiel sounds like a modern helicopter. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark IP: Logged |

How marvellously appropriate!I think that great minds (with genuine wellbeing of mankind and earth=heart in mind) are always awarded special gifts by the uniVERSE. Ezekiel may well have been talking about helicopters. Ie: one will never be blessed with great "discoveries" if they're fueled by earning money. Tesla is the best example. The only reason why he made all those inventions is because HE GENUINELY WISHED TO HELP PEOPLE OF THE WORLD. IP: Logged |

Hi Vampire Angel! It is all in your mind. If you want to be immortal you can be, it needs strong determination and perserverance. You will have to go back to religious texts becuase those are the oldest scriptures in the world which talk abt immortal beings and read thru them to find "HOW" it can be done. But I strongly believe it is an attainable task.If you become immortal I will be glad that I atleast know one person who is immortal(just kidding ) Nikky IP: Logged |

Please see my thread 'who's good at maths'I personally do not believe that she died,I live in Angeland and it's ocurred to me she may be in this country now and if a lady gets on the train or bus and I think she looks familiar or she has a certain aura about her I find myself trying to look deeply into her eyes and study her to see if it's Linda-I feel sure I'll meet her one day. But then that's just one more example of the thoughts going through my head which prove that I'm thinking as an immortal does.Someone put Starsigns in my hand at age 18,I didn't even know the person that well,he just gave the book to me saying he'd just read it and that I should read it,I feel so pleased that my discovering starsigns had a feeling of destiny to it like that.
