Hello everybody! I m a new one, but Linda has been one of my "gods" for a long time though. I just wonder if any of you can explain this thing that s happening to me when I m meditating. The first second I start to relax my head goes up and moves from side to side. It s aforce from above tha s so strong, almost feeling that s going to ripp my head off. This started to happen about three years ago, when i started being vegetarian and a few months after reading starsigns for the first time.
(If my english isn t totaly correct is because it s not my motherlanguish).

LOTS OF LOVE TO YOU ALL............

You have a little bobble-head action going on. Try imagining you are a marionette puppet, and your head is hanging from a string and the rest of your body is hanging loose and relaxed. You will still achieve a qualatative meditative state (say that 10x fast) without the disorientation.

Thank you for your answear. I don t feel I m disoriented though, rather orienting. And I forgot to mention that if I continue to just let it go, it feels I m almost about to lift, but I m to afraid so I always stop.

You might be on the brink of an out-of-body experience when that happens. If I were you I'd try to stay relaxed and go where it takes you...

I think I have the same thing, your mind is just trying to relax, but I only get it for a couple seconds.

I also get a little frightened, with out of body astral trips.

Anyway, welcome to LindaLand.

Hi Ioe, and All,

For spiritualists that head movement is an indication that a person is going into a trance state. I've had it happen a lot, and so I feel relaxed and protected and I allow it to happen. Some people try for years to achieve this state. Sounds like it is very easy for you to attain. Where you go with it is up to you - like pearly suggests, you could be moving quickly to an out-of-body experience - I've been told by a medium that I was very far out of my body during a class where we went into such a state. Focusing on regular deep breathing can help a lot, and it's good to make sure you're:
A) not going to be disturbed suddenly (only because it can be unpleasant to quickly snap back into one's physical body! Like the way we sometimes "fall" back into our bodies during sleep)
B) secure/grounded, and that wherever you meditate, that the area is psychically protected to screen out other influences. (just smudge the room, say a prayer or burn incense, etc. Check out some links on psychic self-protection in Harpyr's post at: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum7/HTML/001842.html )

And yes, the movement can feel quite vigorous! That head can really shake back and forth! Most recently I experienced it on a massage table, with my fabulous Pisces masseuse - we always have excellent psychic and spiritual experiences during my massages.

Enjoy,
Lunargirl
