Can you tell us about him? ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark IP: Logged |

It is very interesting how I came upon this author. While wondering the aisles of my favorite used bookstore, a book of his called The Perfect Matrimony, literally fell off of the bottom shelf in front of me.So of course I had to buy it and read it, I am an equal opportunity seeker, I'll look into anything that sparks an interest. (yes, I am a virgo sun/libra moon, chuck in the scorpio ascendent and I am one of their favorite customers at this book store, I think I keep them in business) Well this book, sure did spark an interest in me. Now who he is: Samael Aun Weor is the contemporary founder of the Gnostic movement in the 20th century. Gnosis, a practical and timeless knowledge, teaches the direct path to self-realization. (There is a lot more, but I don't wish to bore those not interested, or take up website space.) In brief, he has may books, he wrote, all in spanish, but translated into english now, most of which are mostly available for free now on the internet. He never chose to make money off of his books. My main interest in terms of him, and others on this forum, are that he had some interesting ideas about immortality (they must not have been too good, since he died)...but....interesting none the less. And I would love to see what others have thought. I do not know how appropriate it is to discuss one of the keys he beleived was important for immortality, so, that is why I kept my first message a little vague. If anyone had/has read him, they would know what I am talking about. It is related to sex/kundalini stuff, and I am too new on your website to know if discussing that is a no-no. There is a good deal of info on him, if you just plug his name into google. I suppose that is all for now. Have a great day everone. Matty IP: Logged |

why oh why must people introduce me, a book addict, to something new? I can barely keep up with the readings I have collecting dust on my shelves as it is!! Mercury and Mars in Gemini can be a curse at times! Libra rising and Virgo moon don't help at all, either. Im just kidding-it sounds absolutely interesting to me, Matty, and thanks for bringing it out into the open...off to Google I go, as soon as I finish this book on geology I'm into at the moment. This is one of the reasons Immortality is soooooo vital to me. To have enough time to read all the books I want, alone will take centuries. Then add the internet with sites like this that house so many great articles, I just have no time to waste with death. What a bore. Peace, Matty IP: Logged | |
