what i'd like to know is.....

will i ever meet them? if i see them, surely they see me....

do i have to pass some sort of 'immortal' milestone before they'll approach me and say...."we know you know, and we know you are, and here's what we do....."

or even, "we're having a party, please join us, you'll be very interested in learning about....."

I guess you could just as easily approach them, no? LOL I wouldn't be too keen on approaching people about immortality if they were complete strangers or anything, but that's just me, lol. If you really want to have contact with them, then I think you should approach them. Who knows if they're sitting around wondering about you the same things that you're wondering about them?! LOL If it were me, I'd approach them on a friendly basis and see what that lead to ... they could turn out to be some great friends, even if the topic never came up.

Give them a fruit basket, or some nice flowers, as a way of greeting. May I suggest, hmmm ... oranges and hyacinths ...

hi Eleanore ~

i don't think i'd approach them....

i would like to find myself at some kind of event maybe, where people mingle and whatnot....and look for some immortal brethren there....and then just chat maybe, and see what i learn.

then who knows...

but, i must say, interacting here with like kind is a rare and lucky thing indeed.

Grasshopper ~

'hmmmm' indeed.

that happens to be how my awareness was piqued in the first place.....those oranges.....

now, if hyacinths found their way into my awareness...oh my.

i walk my puppy daily along the same path that we've walked for a year now....

and just a few days ago, same time, same place, a breeze wafted by that was so delicately beautiful and heavenly!

i turned around to find it again and what was it but the lovely blossoms on an orange tree...just heavy with green and ripe fruit.

and i have never seen or noticed this before! how is this?

how and why did this just now come into my consciousness?

i didn't want to pick any fruit, but i placed my hand on one of the oranges to feel its energy....and it sort of just 'sighed' into my hand....like a feather drifting. i suppose it was about to fall.

how garden of eden is that?

That's so wonderful! I've noticed the same thing, too, at times. When I'm really quiet within and attentive to nature, I'll just look around and be so grateful ... I don't know how to explain it, it's an overwhelming feeling and my mind is perfectly clear and quiet. Everything looks so brightly colored and it almost resembles a painting, sort of like in that movie "What Dreams May Come". I just want to sing at the top of my lungs and give thanks for all the good and beautiful creations in our world. If I pay enough attention, I'll notice a response, such as a delicate fragrance in the air, a flower falling from a tree, or a special visit from a critter. I take these things to heart. Isn't it just the best?
The scent of oranges, hmm? I suppose you might be more intune with the immortals than you think.

On a side note, have you read "The Secret Life of Plants"?

hi Eleanore ~

sorry i missed responding here....i have the book, but have not yet read it....bits and pieces, anyway. it's packed away somewhere now though, somewhere far away, never to return, i'm afraid.

but i think i will go find it in the library now that you mention it. i have a post coming in 'gaia's garden' that's very relevant to what you stated above. are you a green witch by any chance?

i wanted to say, that i have noticed, since that day, the orange tree is no longer in blossom. my senses are wondering why that tree chose to get my attention at that particular time....never before and never since. ???

interesting, how nature and the universe contrive to tell you things.
