Donovan wrote the score and performed the music for the film Brother Sun, Sister Moon by Franco Zeffirelli about the life of Francis of Assisi. i was so pleased as i watched this film to hear his music.

some people say the film was 'too hippie' but i loved it.

it depicted the relationship of Francis and Clare (of Faverone) so sweetly.
