Just purchased heavenly scented potted hyacinths! Of the purple kind.

Then on my trip to the used bookstore..
the kindly man
showed me the way to the
"Occult", forbidden-hidden knowledge of the masses, section -
and my eyes instantly fell upon a 1st edition, mind-spiralling copy of Venus Trines at Midnight, for just 2 little old dollars! Now my library is complete!!
Just had to share....

Ahh, "Venus Trines" is a great book. All I need to do, now, is pick up another copy of "Gooberz" (I gave the first one away as a gift).

Kudos!

If you lend it out, you have to accept that you may not get it back.

That's cool scorpioncrystal!

You know, funny thing happened, when I gave my first copy away, I ordered another one the same day, and 8 or 9 weeks later it arrived early morning, on my BIRTHDAY!!!

I also gave star signs away a long time ago, and well, it was to be borrowed, but just like Randall said, don't expect it back... I wish I could have a thousand copies to give away, when or if I become a wealthy wealthy person, I will do just that!

I never get Star Signs back. But don't feel bad--Linda never got her own Star Signs books back when she loaned them out.

She was a very Giving lady!
And I also heard she used to spend alot of money buying gifts for her friends and family, and probably strangers too, and they'd try to refuse sometimes to prevent her from going broke.

I bought a Hyacinth plant too. To be strange, I did not read at the shop that what I am buying but I just love this plant and brough home. Next day, my room was filled with such a good smell that I checked the label and it is white Hyacinth.
Can I keep it indoor.

I have a hyacinths story to tell now.

It was just 3 days ago when I was suffering from pms, and was feeling really down, and I had a shopping list to fulfill, which I wasn't looking forward to because it was raining outside and it was a really gloomy day.
But an hour went by and the sun came out, so I decided it would be good for me to get out doors and go for a walk to the shops and get some sun.

When I arrived at the shops they had specials on their flowers, anyway I noticed there were some Hyacinths for sale!!! I picked up the purple one and went inside to ask if they were in fact Hyacinths, the man at the counter said he didn't know, but I was only half sure, and a lady next to me said "Do they smell sweet?"
I said "Yes, in fact they do!"
She nodded quietly, and I was thrilled I finally found them.

After I purchased them I went outside to admire the others that were for sale, and a man behind me whisperd to me and said "The one's with few flowers will last the longest"
But I had already bought the one with the most flowers, but it didnt' bother me.

As I was walking home carrying shopping bags, with my little purple Hyacinth plant a sun shower appeard, (my favourite kind of rain), and my day just got heaps better.

That night, I had a dream of a doctor standing in front of me, telling me that he tested me and I was Physically Immortal!
Ha! I thought that was funny!

And yesterday I went back to the shops and I bought the pink and white ones as well.
Now I have 3 Hyacinths lovely Hyacinths to look after!

The fragrance is AMAZING! I keep them near the front door so when you walk in, you smell them.

My sister came over the other day and she said "what's that smell? Reminds me of summer!"

Awww. So nice.

Sorry about the essay, but I just had to share my experience!

Hyacinths

When of thy worldly goods
Thou find thyself bereft,
And from the goodly store
Two loaves alone are left...
Sell one, and with the dole
Buy hyacinths to feed thy soul
...Persian proverb

This is another beautiful quote that I have pulled from my little bag of goodies ... a favorite verse that I've retained in my memory banks, and that I make use of now and then. My hyacinths are coming up right now, and they reminded me of this old, Persian verse.

Of course, you don't have to buy hyacinths ... and this verse does not have to be taken quite so literally. My garden would not be complete without a few hyacinths in it, and my soul would not be fed without beautiful music, flowers, literature or art in some form or other. I could be penniless ... and have been at times ... but I feel rich and renewed when I see the first snowdrops emerging after a bleak winter.

Everyone needs a little bit of hope now and then. Just as a fragrant flower, like a hyacinth, can provide a bit of food for our starving soul, so can our friends, music, art, or our family. So can our thoughts, when we dwell on happy moments we've had ... happy memories of good times, good feelings. They are our bouquets that we draw upon when we are feeling poorly ... whether it is because we can't quite pay the rent this month, or if we are just feeling a little low. It reminds me of another quote, "God gave us our memories so that we can remember roses in December."

Fill yourself up, now, with the abundant love from the Universe. It is infinite. To put limitations upon anything is to limit yourself.

In loving service.
Jamerah
