Oh my, let's don't start up that GURU stuff again. From Star Signs: quote: Pronounce each of the four letters comprising the word GURU as G-U-R-U, separately, aloud. Do this three times. When these four letters are pronounced separately aloud they form a speech "sound" in the ethers, making it seem as if the word Guru is saying: Gee! You are... you! Which happens to be precisely the mission of any Guru - to bring you to the realization that you, too, are an Avatar. You, too, are a Guru. You, too, are a Messiah.

Talk about GuRu....My Virgo and I saw "Naked in Ashes" today at the movie theater. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0481589/ http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1808752768/info Interesting movie. I didn't know the exact meaning of guru, except for what Linda has always said. I forget exactly the quote, but one of the Yogis was saying that Guru is split into two words for translation. Gu means the darkness, and Ru means the light. So, your Guru brings you into the light or knowledge? Like I said, I forget the exact translation, and this is a Hindu definition. Angela

Lotus, it's so true!!! When I am in a certain state of mind, I will browse through the library or the bookstore, and I will walk as if in a dream to the section where I should be. I have found a tiny, light blue book hidden between huge displays of dark volumes, of a poet I have wanted to read...and it was my time to read him. In the library, I scan the shelves, and I will discover an author that I have never heard of, just by the color or "something" that makes me look and stop. Sometimes I go through the "new age" or philosophy or religious sections looking for a spiritual truth. Sometimes it is right there in fiction or poetry or biography. Just let your spirit stay open to discovery of its own Truth. Spirit wants to stay...wants to expand...wants to grow w/in the body it chose... Ok...yes, I am immortal too!!! It feels so good to say it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!------------------ "Fame is a vapor, popularity an accident; the only earthly certainty is oblivion." --Mark Twain Virgo rising credo IP: Logged |

I want to pursue my immortality.......But I just don't think its possible with a partner who doesn't believe in any of these things- someone so cynical. In an intimate relationship, HOW can a person NOT allow the other person's mental images affect their reality? It just isn't possible. Love, Peace & Moonlight IP: Logged |
