Anyone heard of Bio Oil? Have you tried it? What is your experience? I've just found out about it and bought some to try on some scarring - wondered if anyone had used IP: Logged |

I know it's months later... but I'll answer anyway. I've tried it and it was very moisturising, but I don't think I used it long enough to see much effect on the scar. The thing I didn't like about it was the smell... it was kind of sharp and pungent. IP: Logged |

I'm using it for my stretch marks, it's been almost 8 weeks since I had my baby... they are fading but nothing dramatic!IP: Logged |

Thanks for replies - only just noticed them LOL I been using it for few months now and not sure about the smell - it is very perfumey, I'm using it to try to fade scars, as you said nothing dramatic. But the overall texture of my skin seems to have improved. It is useful for especially dry skin I've noted and also following sunburn, but as mentioned nothing dramtic re: the scars fading - yet

Cocoa Butter lotion works wonders for stretch marks, but it works best if applied daily during pregnancy.------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." Lewis Carroll IP: Logged |

I had a raised scar and used Bio-oil on it. The scar has gone flat and is smaller but hasn't disappeared altogether. Dont think I used Bio long enough for it. But it made another scar disappear completely. I kinda like the smile IP: Logged |

Bio oil does take some time to work. One has to use it daily. Cocoa Butter smells sooooo good its tempting to want to taste it ------------------ What lies behind us, and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us ~Ralph Waldo Emerson IP: Logged |

To get rid of my post pregnancy stretch marks (135 lbs to 270 lbs), I exfoliated with a scrub made with sea salt and olive oil and moisturized with Palmer's Cocoa butter. They faded within 8 months.IP: Logged |
