YES. You can eat it raw. I spinach. As for the coco oil, yes you apply heat onto the bottle. IP: Logged |

Spinach in brine is not raw. I suppose it is like pickles in brine? As to oil, smell it, and make sure it has not gone rancid. If there were a food place that delivered and would take an out of country money transfer, I'd send you some food. If there is, let me know!IP: Logged |

quote: while i'm at it .. how does one get coconut oil out of a narrow necked bottle ? i.e. the oil has solidified into a paste .. might even have been like that when purchased .. so break the bottle ? 'n pick out the glass bits .. or .. heat gently on stove till it liquifies .. or .. throw it in the trash ..
Put the bottle under the faucet and let the hot water run, maybe it will help? p.s. sorry it takes me so long but I promise I will reply to your email tomorrow IP: Logged |

Deux's tips on preventing gut ache (it works regardless of where your food came from or how it was processed)1. Remember to bless your food before eating. 2. Ask the food to give you only that which is good for your body 3. Thank Mother Earth and everyone who participated in the production and distribution of the food. IP: Logged |

happy dragon coconut oil liquifies at 75 farenheit. spinach salad is brill!! make sure you wash it (preferably in distilled water but whatever you have). ecoli and spinach are often intimate friends, and some flukes love it as much as the rest of us!!but if it is canned in brine lexx is right, it's not particularly raw anymore!! drain and eat as is if you like!! coconut oil is great for hair, skin, and your innards... Happy, I use coconut oil on my hair often. It makes it so healthy. Put a bit in and sleep with it in your hair overnight. I also use it on my face every day. I give it time to absorb and gently wipe the excess off with a towel. My skin loves it. Coconut oil is loaded with goodness. I get mine from an indian market and it's quality enough to eat too. Many benefits inside and out.IP: Logged |

If I'm not mistaken, "Virgin" coconut oil is the superior form. Check your labels. My International farmer's market sells it by the pound/bulk for a reasonable price.IP: Logged |

a tin of cinnamon shouldn't run much more than a pound, and sugar, well, hard to escape. get a little jar, put a tablespoon of ground cinnamon and add sugar to taste. white mixes better, brown be better for you, innit...IP: Logged |

Well shoot! Now y'all did not say you had borage honey in the house! Maybe your pantry isn't in such dire straits after all. I worked in a fancy steak house once, and they had creamed spinach on the menu. I have not so fond memories of blanching [par cooking] bushels of spinach. Cooked spinach absorbs water like a sponge, and you have to squeeze it all out by hand. Very labor intensive. Then tossing it with a nice full fat garlic scented bechemel sauce....cardiac arrest! come to think- at another place... we went through ooodles of the green stuff, and guess what method? Fried! Fried spinach in a restaurant where the check average was around 50$ a person I wonder if Elvis ever had fried spinach? IP: Logged |
