IMO we have no way of knowing if animals have a sixth sense. What we do know is that their five senses are extremely well developed. They can see, smell and hear things well before their human owners. [/B] A very long time ago while attending college, I lived in an apartment with an old gray silver cat. Her eyes would be closed and she appeared to be napping, but I could watch her ears twitch-- one ear moving independently of the other, sometimes. Wondered what she could be listening to? After a time of watching her cues, I could automatically prompt my attention to hear very far away sounds... like children playing at the end of the street, a gust of wind through the tree, the rustle of a lone squirrel moving in the periwinkle outside the window. Her purrfect attenuation stretched my ability to hear and appreciate our world. Thanks for reminding me of her. IP: Logged
