This is only a test (the envelope doesn't appear to be burning).

How about "Butcher's Wife"?? I saw it on TV the other night and thought it was a great story about "split-aparts"

Mele P.S. I lightened up the second folder for "Twin S-Elves" ... it's burning now.

The first one that comes to mind that I never, ever get tired of watching is Field of Dreams. I love it so much! When Kevin Costner's character plays catch with someone at the end (don't want to ruin it for anyone who hasn't seen it, although I can hardly imagine anyone not having seen it), it makes me bawl like a baby! It's definitely one of the best movies ever.

Randall, you like Labyrinth, too? Far out! It's one of my all-time favorites.

Another movie with severe spiritual themes: Powder. If you haven't seen it, you're missing out!

I'm a big fan of Bruce Lee, and the five movies he made before he died: Fists of Fury, The Chinese Connection, Enter the Dragon, Return of the Dragon, and The Game of Death. He was as advanced physically as any Master has ever been spiritually. His art is wonderful to watch.

If you like horror films, I suggest John Carpenter's In the Mouth of Madness... if it don't make you jump and twist your head up a few good turns, I don't know what will!

Anything by Stanley Kubrik. A true film artist.

I don't watch TV, so I can't really suggest any TV shows. But I love a good movie! Viva la VCR!

If I think of any more I'll let ya know.

Slacker, by Richard Linklater (lots of fun philosophical themes and interesting people).

Like Water for Chocolate (with subtitles, it's in Spanish) awesome movie about love.

There's a movie by Steven Spielberg that I saw maybe six months ago at the theatre (that I cannot remember the name of) about the first robot-boy ever invented that is programmed to love. It got bad reviews, but I thought it was very interesting . . .

There's some show on Sundays (in the afternoon where I am) about people who are the result of a genetic experiment, and have the ability to manipulate energy, etc.; only saw it once, don't know if the theme gets old yet or not.

Right now I'm reading a book called Psychic Discoveries behind the Iron Curtain, one of the authors is Sheila Ostrander; mostly about psychic experiments in Russia; very intense for me . . .

Gemini5er~ PAY IT FORWARD was a *great* movie

Meercatt~ Agreed, POWDER was a great film too - I wish all HUNTERS could *experience* that scene in real life, Randall

MICHAEL was a favorite movie of mine too

But, one of the most INTENSE movies I've ever seen was THE GAME ! with Michael Douglas... whew!

Recently I watched BABETTES FEAST and CHOCOLAT (both subtitles) and loved them both

Oh, and Fellini's NIGHTS OF CABIRIA is another GREAT (subtitled) film ... but watch out, you might get your heart broken it made me cry and cry ...

YIVY~ Just last night, with the boys, we were reminiscing about NEVER ENDING STORY an all time family favorite !!

"Sabaaastian! CALL MY NAME!"

But, we couldn't recall the Fantasian princess' name, do you? (I've always said Stacey's dog Cedrick looked like Falcor and is why he made me let him keep him!)

"Labyrinth" and "The Man Who Fell to Earth", both with David Bowie.
They both make you think, more so with "The Man Who Fell to Earth" and "Labyrinth" always gives me strength. Plus they both have the drool-factor, (I've had a crush on David Bowie since I was 4!)

If you're into really realistic, but very tearjerker at the same time movies, you's love "Ever After". My favorite quote from that movie is "You can't leave everything to fate, boy. She's got a lot to do. Sometimes you must giver her a hand."
The movie, for those who haven't seen it, is a retelling of the Cinderella fairytale, but with a few very beliveable twists, I highly reccomend it!

the Matrix!

Powder .... of course.

LADYHAWK (my favourite, with a touch of magic)

The Diviners (my favourite also), based on the book by Margaret Laurence. The MOST romantic story ever, at least for me.

There was a movie with Micheal Keaton and Nicole Kidman. They were married, she was pregnant, and he was dying of cancer so he decided to make a film of his life and leave all sorts of footage of him talking to his kid so that he/she could grow up with him even though he was not there physically. Oh man, I saw this on a first date and I balled. I tried to hold it back, being the first date all

And for television:

Winnie the Pooh, the new adventures

Randall ~ D'Oh!

Well, did you know there are even restaurants which were designed/copied from the movie? Yes, indeedy The "Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Restaurant".

You might as well rent it. I *guarantee* that you will love it. Remember, I even have the Soundtrack! Ok, ok, I will stop now.
