This date was very important to Linda, so I think it only fair for us to honor this date and celebrate each in our own way. Do something extra special for your S-elf and for your those whom you Love--or even for your enemies, lest we should ever forget that we are One.

The strangest thing just happened as I posted the Heart!!!!!! The cursor (mouse) began to move quickly back and forth on its own!!!!!! My hand was nowhere near it!!!!!! My first thought was that there must be a logical explanation to this. Then I realized--explanation, yes, logical, no. Call me crazy, but I felt Linda's presence. It was just a Sign to let me k-NOW that Linda is aware of us, aware of this world even still, of this site, and of this thread. I opened Gooberz (page 552) to a not-so-random page, and here is what my eyes landed squarely upon:

and passing through it, both could see

Forever...clearly
looming just ahead of us

How appropriately thoughtful for Linda to send me such a simple message--(k-NOWing that I can't reproduce her poetic format in this post).

You are so wise Randall, you never cease to amaze me! You have caught on to something, December 8th has to be a very special day. It does remind me of Linda, and I did feel Linda around last night during the whole December 8th thing...maybe that's why my computer crashed! Linda is saying hi to us, hi Linda! I think it's an indication that Linda would like to be remembered on December 8th, but not only as a day for her, but for all of us who are halves of a whole, a day of consolation, re-uniting with souls, and hope.

And, Randall, I am very happy that you open to random pages in Gooberz also. I do that myself!

I especially open up to pages in Gooberz when prompted to by Linda's Spirit! By the way, the quote on the front page was given to me by Linda. It has a much deeper meaning now today than when Linda wrote it. I don't fully understand the quote entirely, but Linda wanted it on her front page, and so that's what she got!

How did you know about the December 8th thing? What do you know about the December 8th thing

That was something Linda shared with once, and I have kept her vigil every year since. I was stunned to see someone here mention it....

Hi - sorry - I didn't mean to sound freaked out on that last post - I just wanted to know how much you knew about the December 8th connection so I could fill in the blanks for you. I'm new here so I don't know what you know or how you know it yet!!!

I k-NOW very little about December 8th, other than it was very special to Linda. I beLIeVE it might have had an Isis/Osiris connection of some sort. Please, do share anything you can about this date with us, if you will. I intuitively k-NOW that it meant much to Linda, but I am not aware of the details.

It meant a lot to Linda, I know basically what Randall said. I actually didn't realize it was important to Linda until a few days ago. I never made the connection, but I did think of her on the date, strangely enough. It's special for me too. I wrote about it here on the site, somewhere. I think on the Gooberlily thread, and one of the other ones on here...oh, I remember "Another cool site for Linda Goodman fans!" is the name of the thread...they're both in this section. The topic just came up "coincidentally".

OK...showing my ignorance here a little...I have no idea what you guys are talking about. What is the deal with Dec 8th?

The only thing I can think of is it might be her daughter's birthday..the one that disappeared.

So what gives....

Oh, and welcome Giovana...
See if you can shed some light on this.

Hi, All

Today at work I worked on an ad to be placed in a newspaper for some Catholic Church. I find this very interesting.

"Hour of Grace" - 12 Noon to 1:00 P.M. (ET) Friday, December 8th, 2000

PROCESSION OF THE MOST BLESSED SACRAMENT JUST BEFORE NOON.

"The 'Hour of Grace' originated in 1946 in Montichiari, Italy when our Blessed Mother appeared to Sister Pierina. She was told that "The Hour of Grace" was to be established at 12:00 Noon on December 8th ... Our Blessed Mother wanted this to be known through all of Italy and to the entire world.

"The Blessed Virgin promised that whatever a person asks for during this Hour of Grace (even in impossible cases) will be granted to them, if it is in accordance with the Will of the Eternal Father."

Mara, Rosa Mystica
The Immaculate Conception

"It is my wish that every year, on December 8th, at noon, the Hour of Grace for the world will be celebrated. Many divine and bodily graces will be received through this devotion."

"I am the Mother of Jesus and the Mother of all of you."

What do you think? I find this very interesting. Perhaps that's why December 8th is a special day for Linda

Let's do it together!

Love & Peace

Mele

OH, OH, OH! Thank you for bringing that up! I knew there was another reason why that day was special!

I grew up going to church for it, it's the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. It's also a Holy Day of Obligation, which means that if you're Catholic you're supposed to show your face in church on this day...unless in recent years it falls on a Monday, then supposedly Sunday is supposed to cover for it if you go to church.

December 8th is supposedly the day in the Catholic faith that Mary was conceived by her mother Anne and father Joachim, she was conceived without Original Sin, therefore her conception was termed "Immaculate". She did not carry the Original Sin of Adam and Eve, and therefore did not need to be baptised. Even Jesus was baptised by John the Baptist...makes you wonder. So many things to think about in the religious world.

Many people refer to Jesus' conception as being the "Immaculate Conception", but it's really ...it's Mary's conception.

Expect a Miracle!

Okay, well, December 8th starts in a few hours! I will keep my senses, soul and heart open for the next 24 hours or so, and if anything happens a little out of the ordinary, I'll relate it here

Regardless of what happens, it will be a very spiritually minded day for me, and I hope everyone here has a blessed December 8th.

Well, well... I am just as in the dark as Yivy.. I never knew about December 8th, either.

But Mele dearest, thank you so much for that information. I, too, shall keep looking and have my heart open for this special-to-Linda-date...

Giovanna if you can shed any more light on this, please do. And by the way, WELCOME

Hmmm, I had a strange dream last night... wonder if that had anything to do with it?

Shall watch this space!

Thanks you are a darling and I love you to bits xxx

Think I may have figured it out. It is my guess that every year during the Hour of Grace, Linda's prayer ritual was for Sally to be found. This may not be the reason December 8th was so special to Linda, but she would be very pleased to k-NOW that all of us who Love her are thinking of her and keeping her special day in in our Hearts. Tomorrow, during the Hour of Grace, I will be praying for Sally to be found. I hope all of you join me.

Lay that 8 on it's side and what do we get?

The Hour of Grace = 18/9 !!

12:00 on 12/8 - just so happens those numbers break down to 24/6

So...

At 12:00 on 12/8, we can turn the 9 of *Hour of Grace* upside down

Surely Linda kNew this, don'tcha think?

December 8 has never held a special meaning in me before, but it will now... forever more

sOry guyz, but I am reely sleepy - tired from wurk 2-nite so I cand tipe too well......

Ha Ha Just Kidding

Acutally, I am exhausted from my slave job! Waaaaaa!

Anyhow, uhm., Isn't December 7th or 8th Pearl Harbor Day?

The thing about your wish being granted during that hour on Dec. 8th; I think that ALL wishes are granted. They are granted in one form or another. So it's not fair to only say that they will be granted during that one hour. I am sorry but that is ridiculous. Hope no One is offended. 's are everywhere all the time granting/working on wishes/prayers, etc.!!!!

December 7th is Pearl Harbor Day.

I think the idea is that Linda (from a Catholic background) clung to any faint hope for Sally's sake. I'm sure she prayed EVERY day for Sally's return, but maybe she felt it gave special impetus to her desire to pray at a time when millions of other people are also praying. Or maybe Linda's special fondness for December 8th has nothing to do with the Hour of Grace. But either way, that day was very important to Linda, so it's imortant to me. And I think Linda would be smiling and crying tears of joy at the same time to see us keeping her day special in her absence.

I am glad this thread is here. I really needed a day dedicated to hope and wishes again, and how synchronous for me to find it here tonite, hours away from Dec. 8! Thanks everyone, and especially Linda. I really feel her presence as much as all of you do, and I honor her for all she has went through. Her life reminds me of my own difficulties, but yet also how magical life really is. Her death only made her more human to me, most spiritual teachers out here seem so way "up there" on the enlightenment scale that it's sometimes hard to relate to them.

Happy Dec. 8th, everyone

LOve

P.S. Greetings Giovanna, welcome to the site

Oh Knowflakes one and all... I woke up today, with Our Lady Of Grace going round in my head and praying for good things and asking that my prayers be heard - not quite sure what time is okay for me to do this, so I'll keep vigil ALL DAY... (E.T. isn't that Eastern Time? and where does that fit in to GMT? and does your prayer still get heard and granted if it isn't during the Sacred Hour???)

Anyways, I got up, went to the mailbox and there was just one tiny letter... actually, a Christmas card, in my favourite colours of silver and blue.. from the dearest and oldest friend .... GRACE!!! She was my guru when I first started work at the tender age of 16 and she has always been like a mother to me, even though we don't need to see one another all the time. I always know I am in her heart, and she in mine...

Don't you think THAT was timely? Bearing in mind this lady and I have a soul union going back many past lives, and she is a lucky omen for me, and I almost hardly ever hear from her, ever...

Our Lady of Grace, my prayer for today is that dear Linda has finally found her Sally... my prayer includes all my wonderful friends in Lindaland - bless each and every one of them and grant that their prayers be answered also... bless my lovely Paul and all my dear family. For myself I ask for the Highest Love to be brought to me, and if I can add a little one at the end, Lady of Grace, please, please bring me meaningful, worthwhile and financially beneficial employment soon..

Thank you

Jools xxx
