Have you heard of something called mnemonics? You make up easy words to help remember things. For example: "HOMES" represents the 5 great lakes - Huron, Ontario, Michigan, Erie and SuperiorThe idea is to link what you are trying to remember to something you know. The other thing that always works well is to make flash cards. Good luck! Hopeful IP: Logged |

Alas, such is the downside to a server job. You could always apply at a place that has no test (or tests that are rather simple and/or just common sense). Ryan's or Golden Corral are such places. Each person learns differently. I used to just write things over and over to learn them. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Figure out how you learn. Do you learn by hearing things, writing it down, seeing it, or hands on? If you write it down and then read out loud what you write down, you're more likely to remember it. If you learn hands on, get someone to act as customer and let them order meals. Once you learn how to learn, learning becomes a piece of cake. Good luck! ------------------ To fall in Love, is to rise. . . . ~Upendra IP: Logged |

Zauberin :EAT IT I can remember what was on my sisters last christmas dinning table. What sucked, what was suculent! Who made it, and what they put in it. Believe me, you'll remember what you didn't like, but don't comment to the customer. Ask the chef about the stuff you liked, loved. They'll be glad to tell you how they made it and you'll have more knowledge to tell your diners. They'll be very inpressed. Let your GUT instincts lead the way. Booda Enjoy the feast
