I Will Always Love YOU

Whitney Houston, originally performed by someone else whose name I don't remember.

Spiritua, just FYI

The original version of "I Will Always Love You" was sung by Dolly Parton, from a movie called The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas

I bought a Dolly CD just for that song. She sings it so much better than Whitney--almost as if she is actually singing it to a person she Loves and has to let go. It's so sad to hear it sung the way Dolly does it.

Randall,

I absolutely AGREE with you about the Dolly Parton song!! When I heard Whitney Houston's version (though I normally appreciate her singing) I did NOT like it at all. I, too, bought a CD to get that song, along with the one called "He's Alive". Are you familiar with it? Gives me goosebumps everytime I hear it.

Never heard He's Alive. What's it about?

Re: "He's Alive"

Dolly tells the story of the first Easter Morning from the perspective of Peter, as though she's him. I first saw this in video on the VH1 channel. Between her voice, the visual and the music building to its spectacular climax, the tears were rolling down my face as it ended. It's a BEAUTIFUL and inspiring song; do listen to it if you get the chance.

She Drives Me Crazy

By Fine Young Cannibals

I can't stop the way I feel
Things you do don't seem real
Tell me what you got in mind
'Cause we're running outta time
Won't you ever set me free
This waiting 'round's killing me

She drives me crazy (ooh ooh)
Like no one else (ooh ooh)
She drives me crazy
And I can't help myself (ooh ooh)

I can't get any rest
People say I'm obsessed
Everything you say is lies
But to me that's no surprise
What I had for you was true
Things go wrong, they always do

She drives me crazy (ooh ooh)
Like no one else (ooh ooh)
She drives me crazy
And I can't help myself (ooh ooh)

I won't make it on my own
No one likes to be alone

She drives me crazy (ooh ooh)
Like no one else (ooh ooh)
She drives me crazy
And I can't help myself (ooh ooh)
(REPEAT TO FADE)

Here's the song if you would like to listen to it:
