Circle of Despair (copyrighted 2002)What madness lurks beneath the skin? Heaven or Hell? Torments within Imagine: pleasure comes to pain, a vicious circle turns again. Innocent need? Yearning for love? "Futile dreaming!" screams from above. Emptiness grips the tender soul Falling tears cannot wash it whole. Lost and lonely? So much alone A force becomes a monotone Far worse than grey sterility Left hopeless... choice will never be! (Sorry for the downer, but I needed to get it out!)

Sagaquari, I am so glad you got that out. Reminds me of poems I used to write when in despair. Putting thoughts to paper has always been a good therapy for me - even the ones that I didn't keep. Just getting it out is important, I think.I hope by now, that you have transcended the gloom that produced that bit of sad but revealing, and well expressed poetry. I find that too saga... The cycles part. When U get to know u're cycles I think then u become a person more able to understand, predict and control them... do I sound scientific? But it's so good to write it's like a flood release sometimes... I've cried tears and wrote at the same time and that was one of the most (ironically) joyous experiences ever! Anyway as always very cool poem Love Cat from BelfastIP: Logged |

Hi Quinnie. Can I ever relate. I've cried tears and wrote at the same time too, but I can't say that it was ever a "joyous" experience! On the contrary. The experience was on the other end of the scale, having been overcome by hopelessness, and a sense of futility; total despair!!! And I didn't and don't like being there. But it happens, and often that is when we are the most creative - with words. Sagaquari's words above, being a good example. In love and light, Freedom

You're right Freedom. I know I'm at my most creative when I feel very strong emotions. Especially when I'm depressed. I call it "creative madness" IP: Logged |
