Does filling-out a profile on yahoo constitute an invite for IM Sex?
I put a half-a**ed one up to link to for something, and now I have all these random weirdos IMing me.

Ya'll know anything about it?

free-for-chat search engines use that data so anything you put up there might mark you as more visible to whatever messed up individuals trawl that for hours on end looking for some "fun".

I wouldnt bother putting up a profile at all unless you have a good reason to - especially not with MSN's great new "lets share all your personal info without telling you, but you can cancel it, so its ok" button.

stupid f-ing corporation.

Fuh-reaks.
(Not ya'll, them.)

The umpteenth weird-o im'd me last night (prompting this post).
He said something like, "You looked like you'd be fun in the sack," and I wrote back, "Nope. Training to be a nun. You know how that goes. It's a pretty extreme order; I offer free castrations. Would you like one?"

Ew.

N_w - Funny thing:
The director of the NSA (the National Security Agency - the spooks in charge of electronic shiznet) came and talked at GMU the other month, and he said that if his people did to random Americans what corporations do (ie- attaching cookies to e'rything, et al), they'd be subject to felony prosecution (they can, of course, do just about anything to foreign nationals...they're watching you )
