Does anyone here play an instrument or sing?

I play viola and recorder, and sing only under duress.

I sing...I've taken voice lesson since I was 16 yrs old (12 years now). I study with a teacher from the acclaimed Peabody Conservatory here in Baltimore.

I'm classically trained which means I can sing Opera but I prefer blues/country/R&B. Don't get me wrong, I like the classical stuff and I have enormous appreciation for it but I'm musch fonder of other styles and genre's

I wish I played piano.. and oboe and horn and basson and cello and guitar. And I also want to be a conductor.

When I lived in Belleville, I was in a really awesome choir. I haven't had time to look for one in Toronto yet, but I am planning to sometime in the future. It's been a really long time since I last sang, but I love it.

i play guitar and sing, not in a band though. My usual audience consists of 4 walls and a ceiling, plus whoevers' unlucky enough to be within audible range at the time, hehehe.

I sing and play bits of guitar too ( by bits I mean basic )... I need new guitar strings though.
My favourite play to play and sing is in the kitchen, there is echo there.

I used to play guitar when I was younger but haven't done it in a long time. Maybe it's like riding a bike, you never forget. I like to sing (only in the shower), don't want to scare anyone away.

I played the oboe for years as a kid. I broke too many reeds, it was an expensive habit. I mean some kids get all strung out on coke, all I ever really did bad as a kid was break a few reeds. though for about $15 a pop in the early seventies, it got to be a bit risky, so that's when I became the tennis pro and hacky sack champ, no doubt...and pretty much kept outta trouble. until I found the lindaland hood. a frikkin 69 mile! sheesh...why there's feesh, and cheeks, and photoshop tweaks, and crazy RPG freaks, so please go ease y on the sheep dip and have another Seabreeze

oh, and I can like an angel sing tenor, baritone, or bass and am presently looking into getting back into a barbershop quartet. I had a lot of fun in my UU church choir, that was such a ball! I took chorus as a major in high school, I had it every day, from grades 7 until I graduated, and was in glee club for years before that, cute name huh my voice is still good, I sing too much Beasties now, I am getting out of touch with my classical roots...

Good night Ellen. Good night John boy

Used to be in two punky bands . I was the singer in one and played a few songs on drum. In the other band I played bass and backing vocals.
It was so funny one time I preformed on stage playing bass (which was still kinda new to me at that time) and two younger boys were gazing at me from down. I felt so cool (them looking at me) standing there that I got a black out right there. My hand stopped playing, it was stuck and I paniced . Should have seen it. I guess no one really noticed it.
I was never satisfied though afterwards, there was always something wrong; out of tune, this not perfect that not good enough etc. Virgo Ascendant... The guitar player and me were both Virgo Ascendants and the tyniest flaw we noticed, when one was not tuned right (only slightly) we would look at each other and say:" wow...nááááh, so out of tune!" No one else would hear it. Guess it annoyed everyone.
I still love singing THE BEST! I do it everyday still (not only under the shower).

OH YEAH MOVE YOUR FEET

Well, I can't play too great of an air guitar.. but I enjoy most woodwinds.. particularly tenor sax and clarinet. I play percussion to an extent, a tiny bit of guitar, and piano, and recently teaching myself to play viola (though it's hideously out of tune as of late) ... Hoping to pick up oboe too, or maybe bassoon, though I don't know how I'll do with that double reed business. A few people mentioned playing that.. is it difficult?
