Heidi,I would think the Dannon plain would be fine; that's what I always used. The only thing I'm not too sure about is whether to get the regular, low-fat, or fat-free kind. On the one hand...the regular's fat content might help Spanky gain some weight back. On the other hand...the fat could make it more difficult for him to digest in the first place. Maybe someone else here would have a better idea. PS So glad to hear about the litter box gift! ------------------ "Yes, I am a dreamer. YAY for poop!!!Just my opinion, but I would go for the regular full fat yogurt. Many of the low and no-fat yogurts have asparatame or other sugar substitues in them. I think that would be bad for Spanky right now.... What happened at the vets? IP: Logged |

The vets wanted to put the food tube in, but I just don't want to see him any more uncomfortable than he already is. They gave me a really tough time about it. I just couldn't do it.Unfortunately, no more poop. He won't touch the yoghurt, so I am feeding him a finger full of baby food every hour. It's all he can handle. Too much of it and he'll vomit. He still won't drink, so he is having sub-cutaneous fluids every 2 - 3 days. All I can do is keep trying and praying. Thanks again guys, A Very Tired Heidi IP: Logged |

Heidi My heart goes out to you! If it's at all possible, try and take comfort in realizing what a good Mommy you're being to Spanky. I just know he realizes it too! I believe he understands how very much you love him and are trying to help him. I will continue to pray for you both. Twin Lady IP: Logged |

I will Randall, thank you. Right now there are no changes. And Lunargirl, I just have to tell you that the people at Heal A Pet are wonderful! They are so kind and supportive just like the lovely people here at Lindaland. Heidi IP: Logged |

Just wanted to let you guys know the lastest on Spanky's condition. On Friday I was told by the vets that he either needed to be hospitalized or euthanized because his condition was deteriorating. After tearing myself to pieces I decided to hospitalize him in hope that they can give him another chance. I met a wonderful lady through the Heal-a-Pet website who is an animal communicator. I asked her to explain to Spanky that I was doing all these horrible things because I loved him and not because I was mad at him. Spanky told her what he was eating and told her that the chemicals in my house were bothering him (my cigarette smoke, which I know he hates.) He also told her that he was not ready to leave me yet although he was very tired. He also told her that if he has to leave me we will find eachother again and that he will love me eternally. Love, Heidi

Heidi Sending Love & Light to you and Spanky... That is so wonderful that you are able to communicate with him like this. I hope you are feeling ok... I am sure this is not easy to be going through. It is obvious you and Spanky love eachother immensely and it seems from what you have posted that this is something you both are supposed to be going through together. Be hopeful and open... accept the messages you are getting and allow transformation to take place... you can expect miracles IP: Logged |

So sorry for your pain (and your baby's). I recently went through some scary stuff with my Solomander (that's my pet name for him-his real name is SOlomon). I know you'll do what's best. IP: Logged |

Heidi, i'm so sorry.I am so incredibly close to my cats, I know how hard of a time I'd have if either of them were sick. I'm glad you found the animal communicator and that you found that sort of peace at least. My thoughts and prayers are with you and Spanky.LMB IP: Logged |

Heidi Your last post brought tears to my eyes. I agree with everything Pearly said. Hang in there, take care of yourself, and be comforted by the deep bond you have with your sweet Spanky. Love to you both! IP: Logged |

Hi Heidi,Am so glad that you find Heal a Pet so helpful... I haven't had time lately to explore all they offer. That is great that you tried an animal communicator - they can do remarkable work. Hang in there, and continue to do care for yourself and Spanky with that openness and love. I will send another burst of Light. Lunargirl IP: Logged |

Please keep sending healing light to Spanky ... he is back in the vet hospital. I guess the pumpkin I was feeding him just wasn't enough to make him better. Heidi IP: Logged |

Heidi, I'm praying for Spanky I'm so sorry to hear this, I thought everything was alright again This is awful what you're going through, I can really empathise with you after my experience since I don't have any pets. I hope you find comfort in the words of the animal communicator and in the fact that Spanky loves you so much IP: Logged |

Just wanted to let you all know that Spanky has had a break through. The vets haven't figured it out but I know that it is due to all the love and healing light that you wonderful Knowflakes have been sending to him.I can't tell you how much it means to me to open my eyes when I wake up and see his wonderful little face staring at me with that "time to feed me Mom! Wake up" look on his face. Thank you all again for your love and support. This has been one hell of a roller coaster ride for me emotionally. Love and Light, Heidi IP: Logged |
