Aphrodite was kind enough to privately mentor five lucky Knowflakes (she still needs three more), and since e-mails would only be marginally effective, I gave her a Forum she can use. They will be participating in the Astrology Course also, which is good, because I feel that a lot of it should be public for all to learn. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Hi EveryOne,Here is a private letter I wrote to the students. This sums up the teaching style, and initiation of the first project. The goal of the first project is to exercise how to read the sELF. Now that the forum is up and running, I need to think of a way to post charts onto here. *************************************** June 4, 2003 Hi SunShyne, Dawn and Mark, I have not received e-mail from Weird Purple Sparkles and Nerwin yet. However, we now do have 5 in our class. How exciting! I would like to share with you mysELF to get to know each other better. A friend from high school brought to class one day a book called, "The Only Astrology Book You'll Ever Need," by Joanna Woolfolk. She drew out my chart, and spent time reading outloud to me the descriptions (she is a patient Taurus with Virgo rising, bless her heart). From there, 7 years ago, I was curious to learn more and read a lot about sun signs, and got onto the internet to do thousands of searches. There are so many interesting books available everywhere, not just in bookstores ;-) A few years ago, Auriel Langford offered her forum "Soul Unions" to me as a place where I may read charts for anyone for free. I was reading about 10-12 Souls a week for a year. Then I got third eye burnout (is there such a thing?), however the Chakras began to spin in ways I never knew possible. It was through actual practice, and interacting with clients---not only on the internet, but in person as well, that I got the most synthesis and comprehension about interpreting charts through mysELF. However, for me this was not possible without a solid foundation of the basic concepts and flexibility in learning---as each individual chart is different and some Souls will let you see, and others not. Every Soul is unique, yet we are all One. We will get to this later. My personal style of learning are the possibilities of being flexible, open, and creative. You are free to develop your own techniques and study habits. The only commitments I ask, and now revised---is to participate in the course through posting and interacting with the students, and doing the homework. I realize time is an issue. Please make an effort to contribute to yoursELF as much as possible. We learn from each other and exist for others in conversation. People will learn from you too, whether you realize it or not. I am committed to each of you, and committed that everyone in the whole Astrology course understands the material. Your contribution to others in the course is just as---or even more vital in the community. I am open to any questions! I will be suggesting different techniques as we grow together in learning. This is a new experience for me too, and I am excited for all the possibilities. The first project I would like us to do is to examine our own charts. I am wondering if there is a way for us to get a private discussion board from Randall so our e-mail boxes do not run out of space and for ease of accessing topics. Love, Amy "May the best of your passed be the worst of your future." -Chahldean

And you may note the old, archived "Ask the Astrologer" forum has been archived off the page... see the bottom of the main Forum Index page for the button to go there... and there's also that new Digest option, and an option to click so you can see at a glance all the new posts since your last visit...Randall has been a busy bee! Yay for EarthBoys! cheers, Lunargirl IP: Logged | |
