Today sucks! I want to be in a nice, friendly relaxing place and instead I am stuck at uni, which is sooo getting on my nerves!!! Talk about disillusioned with the whole concept of formal education!!! Also, I am feeling very miffed towards England in general right now, because my best friend is spending a semester abroad in Lester(ish) somewhere out in the boonies (although I hear that they have a Subway joint near there amazingly enough) and I MISS HER!!!

*sighs*
Sorry, I just had to rant...

Leicester you mean? heehee

Well be thankful you dont have to live here (like some of us *sigh*) because this place isn't nice (weather) its not friendly (around london anyway) and its CERTAINLY not relaxing!!!!

Anyway, the mark of a true friendship is when you miss someone when they're not there

lol, yeah London's not the best of places to live. I was soooo depressed when I was there, and I don't know why. Anything's better than baltimore though. I think I'm just bored.

Well I now live in London (have done for the past 5 years) and I have to say I really like it. Also I personally have found most people to be very friendly - they don't make the first friendly move though but once you talk to them...and I'll talk to anyone they're really chatty from then on.

I would love to spend some time in London! I have a friend or two there...
Have been trying to put together a trip across the pond for a couple of years, but thanks to a rocky relationship it just hasn't materialized. But one day...

Hope you feel better alchemiest. University angst is pretty typical. We're headed into autumn and the Baltimore area should be beautiful with lots going on, maybe you'll find some fun things to do. Best wishes!

Hi alchemiest, welcome!

Hey Cat, whilst we have your ear (gentle tug), can you make any general comments about relocational stuff when travelling?

I had a single astrologer friend who just loved London, because she said it put her natal Venus on her Midheaven and that she always got 'picked up' when she visited!

Apart from Venus for romance, what should people watch out for when choosing a place to visit or live -- a good Jupiter, Merc, Moon, Mars, etc.?

I'd say Jupiter and 9th house transits making good aspects to Venus. If you wanted to MOVE somewhere, look for good moon and 4th house aspects, avoid Merc retro periods for both though, if poss.

(pardon me for butting in)
