I'd love to start, but I'm not sure how to. How about you start, and we'll follow your lead. An Aries' work is never done, hey?

I thought of Lioneye's word, "Never"
. . . contemplated the consequences of "Ever"
What does this word modifier mean?
Do we ever wean,
away
Someday?
Perhaps it is a reprieve
For a love from Eve
As Eve means the night before
as the Christmas lore
on day Twenty-Four

. . .

From the shore to your door

does twenty four bring,

Sparkles,moonbeams and Saints to sing

Of long ago to a day far away

A wise man has come to stay....

Ok, this seems a little complex for me. What are the rules? So many lines/stanza with a repeating rhyming pattern? Sorry, I'm a bit slow on the uptake sometimes.

Hmm, I didn't think that far in advance.

There are no rules, just what comes out naturally.

Linda liked rhymes, that's why I began it this way. But take anyway you like, I am sure something grand from all of us will come together as things move along.

. . .

Stay he did, for a mere 33 Earth years
And Oh! He was very dear,
For he was clear, and wiped away Mary's tears
Sweetly forgave us for our fears

. . .

..........

But in our fears we hollered out jeers
And continued to do so for years and years
And fearing the most that which he said
Would be a beginning
Still, we feared being dead

...........~~

who spins out a fable of a man long dead
we believe he walked then, now he walks in our head
but who can say truly
wiping out the unruly
is something we rule in his stead

Our heads they say he walks within

is this contrary to purging sin?

Ah, the three is the promise you see

the holy trinity promised you and me

. . . Everlasting life
For all Eternity
To freely love, without strife
He showed to us
His powers to heal
Even ordained loaves & fishes for all to join
In sharing the mystical meal

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
His message, so simple
So easy to grasp
Be good to each other
Live, Love and Laugh
Carry your brother
When he's weary and sad
And do unto others
That which makes YOU glad
A glad storyteller 'twas he,
Sublime humor that kicked in the knees
How fat, rotund, wealthy "me's"
Could by chance, go into the Kingdom of Heaven
Through the eye of a needle with glee!
There were other stories too
That went hand in hand,
About how one shouldn't build a house
Atop mounds of sand . . .
Still other tales told how to be
firm yet bound by serendipity
Stern strife and judgement abound in their fables
The meek find repentance, the wise turn the tables
And all shall inhabit the crutch of the Earth
And all find the seeds that are ripe by our birth
To love with hearts open
To choose with clear mind
To speak of the wisdom
Inherent we find
The passive and active, both principles seek
The goodness of action in darkness so bleak
To rip the cavity wide that lies in our soul
Expose it as fiction, recover our whole
So simple and So surreal
such tangling emotions
We all must bear our bones and cross
Our crucifix is broken
And so it begins . . .
A journey to love's end
Broken souls are asked to mend
No excuses or "it just depends."
And so the circle goes
limitless endless yet ever to mend
around and down
up to the stars
the promise to heal is embedded in his scars.
The scars yearn to be smoothed
By the tender touch of a melting will
The something between a nothing's chill
The sweetness from a bitter tongue
The inner call that has begun
An innocent's gaze upon the nations
The reckless face beyond temptations
A circle instead of an arrows sharpness
An omen, coupling light and darkness.
The nations yearn
...the spirit calls
To what end we cry
What proof we ask
Do we perish or rise again
after we are spent in death?
Ah, for now in his love I will bask
and seek the within.
From within,
And so without . . .
I saw
How it felt to have cravings,
Of all things dark or light,
Sometimes it didn't matter if they were wrong . . .
Or right
Truthful stares were hard to fight
Especially when they were from mine own sight
A dark, velvety red rose with thorns
Symbolized how sometimes, I felt torn
Between Beauty and greed . . .
Or a false kind of need
My crucifix broken, for all to see
Shows to thee,
The kind of love and faith you inspire in me
. . . to simply Be
To forget the stories that these things
Happen to only just me.
