what is the meaning of crickets in one's house? or crickets in general...before my father passed they kept getting crickets in their house...and then after he died we saw them around the church were the funeral was held and wondered about their significance...

Hi Amanda, years ago I was given a tiny bamboo cage/cricket house. The accompanying note said crickets were good luck in the house for the Chinese. That they built tiny houses for them to encourage them to live in their homes.

I crickets and always have a singing choir in my flowerbeds. I sit out late to enjoy them and the lightening bugs

I used to know a girl who was mentally retarded and she loved crickets...she had a brass cricket box that I loved looking at.
At my parents house, we did not kill any of them, we just swept them up with a broom and redeposited them outside...you know, they are awfully loud inside a house and late at night...oh voy! No sleep for us! But I cannot tell you how many we had in the house...but at least one a night and I lived with my parents while caring for my dad from September 16th to October 10th...

glad we didn't kill any of them...and we certainly could use some good fortune!
