Heya -

I know that I've been asking ya'll for a lot of white light/good energy/prayers as of late, and ya'll just might be all tapped out...
but, eh, what can asking one more time hurt?

Jase's borderline pneumonia's still hanging on - he got Sharpshooter in BRM (Basic Rifle Marksmanship) with a 101 temperature, but is now out on a 3-day BIVUOAC (Camping with Cammo and Weapons) still sick; last we talked (on Sunday) his lungs're still giving him trouble, and have made it difficult to make his required 2-mile run time. He told me that he was feeling really down last week (incredibly down, actually - it was hard to hear how down he'd been) because he's gotten into protector and provider mode and is concerned about his performance.

So.
For his physical health, for his morale - please send him some good stuff.

Much healing for you both...

You'll get to the other side of all these challenges together and find a beautiful life together, I just know it.

Thankya Juni

*edit*
And Thankya Trillian
(I saw your post after I posted.)
I know we will, too. I mean, heck, it's already wonderful in too many ways to count, after all.

I just did some laundry and took took a shower...and then was on my bed for a good 15 minutes with my hands resting on my belly just feeling the kiddo kick and roll (I think that I felt the shoulder brush past ).

Re: my size: Well, these pics don't quite give the whole picture (because the "whole picture" just might include too much ), but these're part of the ones from Monday that I sent out to Jase:

^--almost directly to the side

^--slightly more frontal view (that thing hanging down is my part of the medicine bags that we exchanged)

Re: how I'm doing otherwise: Fine, fine - keep getting dizzy spells and am not gaining quite as fast as I should be, but I eat constantly so I'll point my finger at the probable little Taurus in the making on the above counts; and I'm picking up a few extra shifts at work because I'm getting enough cash together to get Jase a one-hour massage as one of his Christmas presents (#24 on the list "How to Make a Taurus Moon Delirious With Joy").

OH! And I didn't tell ya'll!
On Sunday when Jase called the first time, he told me that he was going to get back in line, make another call, and then hopefully get the chance to call me again.
"Oh, you gonna get ahold of your 'rents?"
"Nope - Iiii caan't tell you what the other call's for, but it will make you very, very happy."
"Gah! You suck!"
"What? YOU give me surprises and tell me just enough to get me curious!"
"Yeah! But that's for a Christmas present or something! GAH! You can't do this to me!" which was met by smug Aquarian happiness on the other side of the line.
When he called back, he said, "OK, sorry - that took longer than I thought." *fidget* "OK, I'll give you ONE hint: It's red and green and maybe yellow, but I don't have much control over that, and about 3 feet tall. And that's it."
"That's it?"
"Those're the ONLY hints you're getting."
"OH! I KNOW what it is!"
Disappointed, "You do?"
"Yep! A single gigantic sock."
"Wha- Yes. I'm sending you a single gigantic sock."
"Yep, see? I'm just that good. I guessed the first time. A single gigantic sock. I shall go around with nothing else on my other foot."
"Yep. A sock. I'm sending you this because I didn't get much of a chance to send letters last week because of BRM; I'd write out there using my weather-proof paper, but we'd get back too late and leave too early to send anything. So you're going to get envelopes with 5 sheets of little green paper at a time."

On Tuesday, I came home to find a dozen red roses is a vase with a yellow ribbon tied around it, with the following cadence (typed out as I saw it on the card):
AROUND HER NECK SHE WORE A
YELLOW RIBBON SHE WORE IT IN THE
SPRING TIME AND IN THE MONTH
OF MAY AND IF YOU ASKED HER WHY
THE HECK SHE WORE IT SHE
WORE IT FOR HER LOVER WHO
WAS FAR FAR AWAY
YOUR LOVING HUSBAND JASON

In the letter that I wrote to him yesterday, I said:

Hey my Love -

The sock is lovely.
Thank you.

on the first page, and then while at work I printed-out a dozen color-in-able roses, colored them red with a permanent marker, cut them out, and then wrote a few words on the back of each one to say:

Because I can't send you flowers, my Love...my Heart...my World...Thank you so much. They've brightened my days and will continue to do so, just as you light my Life and my Soul. Your Loving Wife, Corri

Prox~ When is the novel coming? You have an amazing way with words, especially conversations, which I can tell you, is the hardest thing for me to write.
You guys rock. Your child is so special, to have been created through such love and good humour. Your belly is beautiful, I am envious. Enjoy this special time. I would get pregnant again in a heart beat, I so enjoyed pregnancy! But, it ends with a baby, and I can't do that right now. So in the meantime, practice practice practice!!! (* with Depo-provera as buffer!)
You will both be wonderful.

Aaahh! I'm at work and the kiddo's hiccuping!

Lioneye - Yup, and it's growing every hour.

Juni - We'll find out this Wednesday

Harpyr - Thankya

NikiSpeedy - I hope not; if so, we'll have a rough time of it during his extended training and deployments.

PixelP - Aw, thanks Jase and I are just too goofy to know any better, though, me thinks. *tear* Scorps rock.

Hey Proxieme...great sock. So what does Jason think of Lawton and Oklahoma now that he has been there a while? I'm sorry to hear that the dusty winds are still causing problems for him. Sounds like he is toughing it out, though. All the best to both (all three) of you.

He hasn't really seen any of it except for the Fort, so right now he's not liking it very much (although he says that the skies are beautiful).
